The Best Rent - Elegant apartment in Trastevere

What a gorgeous apartment! They had the sofa bed already pulled out and made up which was REALLY appreciated. Our arrival was chaotic: we had let the staff know in advance that we were having phone problems (international data plan not working) so they tried to help us with alternate methods of entry (they typically direct you to use an app to open the doors). Unfortunately we were still a bit stranded on arrival and could not find in our various communications which room in the building was ours. So make sure you know that! Anyway our problem is not a common one and the staff were definitely trying to help. The apartment itself is perfect. Great kitchen, very clean bathroom, beautiful tall windows with full interior shutters, comfortable beds, and tons of storage space. We really loved being in Trastevere but don’t make our mistake: we had a late-arriving flight and missed the last train from FCO to Trastevere. This area of Trastevere is hopping at night but the apartment itself is on a quieter street. There’s a little mini-mart at the end of the street. Great location.

Our cost worked out to over $300 per night. But we booked kind of late. We would have opted for a cheaper place if we’d had the choice. Again, we loved this place! But compared to all of our other lodgings on this trip, it was pricey.

A little trouble the first time entering the unit-didn't have good cell coverage so the link didn't work. I walked down the street and it worked. After that I had wifi so all was good.

Location, apartment design, living area spacious, air con. Good wardrobe space (although a lot of bedding took up space).

Stains on sofa and mattress topper. Shower drain blocked and door didn’t fully close leading to leakage. Method of entry challenging on arrival as phone signal was poor and was necessary to access the unlock feature. The door was splintered around the lock which might have been an attempt at breaking in and wasn’t reassuring. There was no information available at the apartment about how to use features or the area.
