This apartment was very cute and spacious, and surprisingly quiet. We loved Trastevere, it is a quaint town. Check in process was timely and in person, and she gave us a tour of the apartment. The only thing that I would give less than 4 or 5 stars for was the cleanliness of the bathrooms. The shower did not drain and there is black mold on the caulk around bottom of the shower and on floor grout. We were only there 2 nights so I did not make a big deal about it. The rest of the apartment was clean.

I don’t normally provide reviews if I can’t be positive but felt that I should comment. Communication with the host was good, but when we arrived at about 5pm the host’s associate met us at the door to let us know that the cleaning person had not arrived. He quickly arranged for someone else to clean and accommodated our request to make up the pull out couch vs the bed in the front loft. We came back 2 hours later to allow them time to prepare the apartment. Both large beds are in lofts. The front loft has higher ceilings, but the stairs to get there are not for the faint of heart and I did not feel they were safe for my husband to navigate. The back loft has very low ceilings- you can’t stand in that space. My daughter slept there and we slept in the pullout couch, which was not comfortable. The apartment did not have blackout curtains and was very bright when cars/vespas moved about outside. The kitchen was cute, but not clean per the above. The larger bath was okay in size by EU standards, but the smaller one is not terribly usable as it is so tiny. Both showers were a little frightening as they were tiny and had a lot of mold. We decided to forgo showers. The location was okay, as it had some nearby restaurants and a few shops, but the neighborhood was noisy and it had a lot of graffiti everywhere. This was a very different experience than when we stayed in another area in Trastavere. We were just there for 1 night and were happy that we didn’t stay longer.
