Beautiful Guest Home Riverfront Retreat 15 Min to Ottawa

Large, clean and quiet guest home alongside the river with ample parking in front of it. The wonderful hosts live next door. We enjoyed the covered porch and watching the beaver in the grass area next to it. Fully equipped kitchen to cook some nice meals. Ride to Ottawa indeed is 15 min, but one can also consider taking the the water taxi next to the museums of nature and history in Gatineau and leave the car in the parking garage there. By the way, there's a short 'art walk' in Gatineau which we really enjoyed as well.

The fact that we liked less was that the pool was behind the house and didn't feel like being part of the guest home even though it was included. Therefore we didn't use it. The bench in the living room wasn't one we're used to, so for us not too comfortable to sit on (but exactly as advertised). One recommendation: due to a severe thunderstorm there was a power failure (from 10 pm till at least when we left the next morning), so a quick win would be to have torches available

Les lits n’avaient pas été changé à l’arrivée, nous avons dû demander des draps propres. Une serviette sale trainait dans une chambre, la toilette n’était pas propre. Nous avons fait un ménage en arrivant. Aussi la piscine n’était pas accessible.
