About this house rental
This classic, but updated bungalow has everything your family needs while visiting Memphis. We are blocks away from Rhodes College, the Memphis Zoo and a quick 10 minute drive to famous Beale Street. and all the downtown attractions. Great for tourists visiting the sites, Rhodes College alumni or business travelers. No parties, out of town guests only.
Midtown is a growing/transitioning neighborhood with new construction all around and good neighbors looking out for each other. The house is on a busy street, (Jackson Ave.) which makes it easy to get around Memphis, however does include some street noise while outside. All of the local residents are very friendly, and go out of their way to say hi. If you are heading out at night, or coming home late, I would recommend driving or getting Uber/Lyft.

We booked this location because the photos suggested there was backyard access, but unfortunately, the back door was locked and unusable. The host was unable to unlock it, which was disappointing. Upon arrival, we noticed that neither restroom had a full roll of toilet paper, and no spare rolls were provided. There was also no laundry detergent. In my experience with vacation rentals, extra toilet paper and laundry detergent is typically available. Since we had already faced issues with the back door, we decided to purchase our supplies.The house is located next to a busy road, and the noise made sleeping difficult at night. My guests and I had to wear earplugs to get some rest, and one guest even mentioned feeling the floor vibrate when cars passed. The pillows were extremely thin, and we all wished we had brought our own for better comfort. Also, one of the stove knobs was loose, making it tricky to use one of the burners. The house had plenty of space for our group of five and enough dishes for our needs. However, improvements in amenities, maintenance, and listing accuracy would enhance the experience for future guests.

the place seems to be located in a quieter part of town! my only problem was that there wasn’t many wash clothes and no extra toilet paper. other than the place seemed really nice it was an older place but still in pretty nice condition!! also the owners responded quickly and were nice to work with!!
