Tromsdalen is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. It’s close to a grocery store, a pizza restaurant, and a sushi restaurant. It’s also just a short distance to the start of Sherpatrappa, the mountain lift, and the Arctic Cathedral.
Getting Around
There’s parking by the house. It’s 220 meters to the bus stop where Route 26 passes by (this stop is marked “Fløyvegen” and is the closest to the house). You can also download the “Troms Reise” app to check bus schedules. To pay on the bus, you can download the “Troms Billett” app.
Due to the cold climate in Northern Norway, air conditioning is rarely needed. Good heating is more important.
In Norway, it is customary to take off your shoes inside apartments. This is due to the cold, wet, and snowy weather outside, and wearing shoes indoors can damage the wooden floors. Therefore, all guests are required to take off their shoes and place them on the mat by the entrance or in the designated shoe rack. There is underfloor heating in the living room/kitchen and in the bathroom to ensure a warm and comfortable atmosphere. If the floor is damaged during your stay, you as a guest may be held liable for the repair costs.
Please be considerate of our neighbors. There is a strict “No Noise” policy after 9:00 PM, and violation of this rule may result in eviction without a refund, and the police may be called.
