Alai Resort

The lodge is uniquely positioned in an area where there are virtually no comparable competitors. Its beachfront location is a real highlight and creates a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. Dom is a fantastic host, and he and his team are always friendly, welcoming and willing to help. The service is consistently attentive without being intrusive. The food is good, and combined with the location and hospitality, it makes for an excellent place to stay. Overall, it’s a destination I’d happily recommend and look forward to visiting again.

The only minor drawbacks are external to the resort itself. The beach immediately surrounding the property can sometimes have litter left by members of the local community, although the management team does a commendable job of keeping the area directly in front of the resort clean and presentable. During busy periods, particularly when there are day visitors, the atmosphere can become a little noisy. That said, this is part of the nature of a popular beachfront destination. The resort itself is perhaps starting to show its age in places, and a refresh or phased upgrade would enhance what is already a fantastic property. Even so, the exceptional location, friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere far outweigh these minor points.

Lots of cute friendly dogs Onward travel arrangements organized at no additional charge. Card payments are not always available due to signal strength, so make sure you have cash to settle the bill 😉 Onsite swimming pool area (but see below) with bar and views out to sea.

Materasso logoro, piscina sporca, animali che entravano continuamente dal bagno, getto dell’acqua della doccia basso….boiler che perdeva acqua… spiaggia davanti abbastanza brutta… non è per niente come nelle foto… siamo andati via prima
