Sunrise View - Spa-Inspired Guestroom, Halifax Rooftop Home

Absolutely beautiful decor and very clean and well kept! There were lots of little extras that were appreciated like the scented air freshener, slippers and flip flops for the outdoor spaces and all the amenities in the bathroom. The staff were friendly and polite and it was very quiet. It was exactly what I needed for a relaxing getaway. It was fantastic to have a hot tub and sauna in the back yard and the view from the rooftop patio was spectacular!

I was not impressed with the breakfast- I was under the impression that it included fresh fruit but there wasn't any. There was included some soggy looking bacon and packaged cheese slices which are very unappealing. I would suggest offering a variety of cereals by getting those mini boxes and changing the description to not include fruit if there isn't any available. With regards to availability there was also the promise of wine and beer for purchase but the fridge only had 1 beer and no wine for both of the nights I was there. Not a big deal but I may have purchased wine if it had been there. Lastly, my heat pump seemed to not work properly- I texted the owner and told the in-house staff but nothing was done about it. Luckily the weather was moderate so it didn't get unbearable but it would be nice to know that I could cool the room if needed. All these things could be easily fixed so I wouldn't hold it against them and would certainly go back!

The view was nice, it was modern and aesthetically pretty. Breakfast service on the first day was great.

The back door was broken and couldn’t be shut, letting cold air in constantly, the main floor was very cold and not comfortable to use, you couldn’t use the hot tub or sauna because the back door would remain fully open and make the place even colder. The sunrise room’s bathroom is fully open, no toilet room, you can’t tell that from the photos.

We loved the bnb it was a gorgeous spot! Well decorated and we enjoyed all the amenities.

We were cold because the back door wasn't properly working and was open. We were confused about the food. Breakfast was included in the cost and we didn't get to eat. It Saif reserved for Chef but no one showed cup. The coffee machine wasn't working properly and the place was not gbat clean.

The concept of the property is right up our alley. Great to be able to buy groceries have a nice space other than your room to hang out in - would be great to book with people you know for a weekend gathering. Was in town for the Sail GP so nice to be out of the fray of downtown

Had to hunt the host down to get our room code - hours after 3pm check in time. did not like the toilet being open to the entire bedroom - certain areas looking a bit tired (rooftop and chipping paint in our room). Backyard amenities are a bonus but the area was not very inviting - SInce the staff is mentioned throughout the space it wouldn’t hurt for them to have a bit of a presence - especially at check in time - otherwise don’t bother with the staff. Last thing - a bit more sound proofing - sunrise suite - can hear the pipes from upstairs and anyone walking around upstairs
