    Clean private room for two nights. Staff friendly and helpful with recommendations of local sights. Walking distance to Via Rail. Good nearby coffee joints.

    I recently had a wonderful stay at HI Halifax Heritage House. Located right on 1253 Barrington Street, the hostel is in a perfect spot for exploring downtown Halifax. I stayed in an 8-bed men's dormitory, which was comfortable and well-maintained. The check-in process was smooth, even with my late arrival between 10:00 PM and 11:00 PM. The staff was professional and accommodating, ensuring a hassle-free experience from start to finish. For anyone looking for a well-located, affordable, and friendly place to stay in Halifax, I highly recommend this heritage hostel. I would definitely return!

    Friendly staff and a cute shared kitchen. But the sound-proof is not very well.

    The single room bed was really hard and difficult to sleep on The shower was built small and the shower heads was really tall. Hot water did not work very well The shower curtain was too small and flooded the floor .. The place was crazy hot No coat hooks No where to plug in phones Other than that .. the Staff was nice and cool to chat with
