Holiday Home Mariani by Interhome

Stunning location with wonderful views over Lake Trasimeno. Homely and well-appointed property. The beautifully set swimming pool is great to cool off in or sit beside with a drink and watch the birds or the bats at dusk. It even has multiple lighting options! The kitchen is pretty well equipped. It's worth noting the coffee machine is a Dolce Gusto, so don't bring Nespresso pods! There's also a selection of moka pots. We were surprised by how easy it is to get around by public transport. There is a bus service from the bottom of the hill (except on Sundays), or a very pleasant walk of around 50 minutes over the hill (past the excellent Ristorante Montalcino) brings you to Magione train station.

The boiler is quite slow to kick in, so we had to run a tap for a while first in order to have a hot shower. The fourth bedroom (2 single beds) has quite harsh lighting, but we didn't need to use this room so this wasn't an issue for us. All three rooms with double beds are nice.

Prachtige rustige locatie. Mooi zwembad. Fantastisch uitzicht. Mooie dorpen en steden rondom om te bezoeken.

Bedden zijn erg hard en minder comfortabel.

The access up to the property was a little tricky with a manual car.

Posizione eccellente e tranquillità assoluta.
