Ocean view home steps from beach with front porch, deck, & W/D

Location was neat, view was pretty great, the dolphins were a fun experience, and overall, out trip was pretty flawless. My only complaint/suggestion would be to invest in kitchen items, specially pots and pans. Definitely recommended staying here 👌

The peaceful setting

Love the view, great neighbors and friendly area to stay. Beach access wasn't too far from the house.

Upon arriving to the home it was not clean. It looked like it had not been dusted in forever, there were a few dead bugs in the floor that looked like it had not been swept properly otherwise they would have not been there. One set of bed sheets were completely dirty with signs of being used. There was mold in the shower of the master, a lot of mold and it felt very nasty to even use that shower. I reported all the findings and was offered a set of sheets the next day but we had already washed the ones provided because we needed to use that bed. The biggest issue was the construction that was right next door. The fact that they were doing construction and never disclosed this information really disturbed me. It started at 7am and went to 6pm. I have a 3 year old with special needs and she’s very sensitive to loud noises so we would never have booked had we known there was loud construction going on. I feel that this falls back on the home owner in knowing and reporting this to the public because they receive their payment and we were just stuck with the conditions with no final compensation. When I reported the noise the first day I literally had a Vacasa representative on the phone that could hear the construction and told me that she would not be able to tolerate that noise. However once I requested compensation I was never contacted back. I was only told there was no option to move us and basically were just stuck there. If anything I should be refunded the cleaning fee due to the dirty conditions and the mold. I have stayed at another Vacasa property with family last year and this was not our experience at all so I am very disappointed this time. The view is the best part. It was nice to sit on the porch and hear and see the ocean and the beach access is steps away, so it wasn’t all bad. I would never stay there again, the floors are coming up in multiple places and are very uneven. It seems like a remodel was done at some point and they must have went with a cheap floor replacement because it shows throughout the entire home. I’m not sure why the warped and saggy floors weren’t addressed then. As far as Topsail Island we love all that it has to offer and will be returning, just not to this house and possibly not with Vacasa after this experience.
