About this house rental
The Gamber is one of the most historic and remarkable homes in Fergus Falls. Built in 1874, the home offers 10' ceilings and wide detailed woodwork but also modern comfort and convenience. Located on the beautiful Ottertail River, the level lawn is expansive and ready for outdoor games or reading a book while you sit along the riverbank. You will love the peaceful comforts and grandeur of this home whether resting on the screened porch or in the parlor or spacious family room.
The space
There are 4 comfortable bedrooms with new mattresses and eco-friendly bedding. The master has one king, BR2 has two queens, BR3 has 1 queen, BR4 has a single/single bunk and a single/double bunk. Significant updating in 2022 added a luxury bath with a walk-in shower, double vanity and a clawfoot tub, bath 2 has a soaker tub with a handheld shower, bath 3 has a shower. The home is located on the Ottertail River and has a screened porch. There is a smart TV in the family room and one in the master bedroom--YouTube TV is provided and you can also login to your own accounts on any other apps. There are outdoor porches on the east side, south side, and a large screened porch facing the river on the west side of the house.
The kitchen is bright and well-stocked; your hosts are only a text or call away if any essentials have been over-looked. There is a Keurig coffee maker as well as a standard brewing machine for coffee.

The Gamber has been operating since January 2023. The property is located on a large corner lot right on the Otter Tail River. There are beautiful views from every room.

This house is spectacular! The historic aspects along with modern amenities makes it perfect. So many places to visit with others or be by yourself with a good book.
The screened in porch is a perfect setting for morning coffee while watching birds land in the river. Quiet, relaxing and overall amazing.

This property is beautiful!! Very well kept and the historical value is priceless. Plenty of room and beds for everyone. The porches were wonderful, especially the screened in porch. We will be back!! Thanks Mary

My family and parents and siblings stayed for a wedding. My kids loved the property and my parents loved the history. Everything was great. We were able to host additional family for a dinner and had plenty of room. The screened in porch was definitely my favorite part. The view of the river and little dock was so enjoyable. If we ever come back, that would be my first choice to stay.

We had a funeral to attend with relatives traveling from South Dakota and the Minneapolis area. We had 8 one night and 9 the second night.
This was so much better than a hotel since we could be together before and after the service.
We actually had many other relatives stop by after the funeral as there was no other place for a gathering! It was SO nice to have this beautiful home to host loved ones to visit with each other after we left the church.
We will be using VBRO again and would highly recommend this property. Our Host, Mary, was very easy to communicate with!!
