About this cottage rental
Newly refreshed one bedroom house, with mini split AC's; better lighting. Still close to the best Houston has to offer with Bars, restaurants and the Menil within walking distance. The is street parking and so many things to explore.
Excellent 2 bedroom 1.5 bathroom house sleeping 6pp in the best Montrose neighborhood. Spacious living area w/sofa, dining & desk space, all within view of a mounted TV.
You have a screened in front porch to enjoy your coffee, supervise you woof in a fenced in front & back yard ($100 non-refundable PER PET) all whilst watching the world go by. Crated dogs may be left unattended.
The driveway is gated & will fit 2 cars.
**There is a 2nd in the back to respect or expand**
The space
Located Montrose area means easy walking access to some of Houston’s iconic restaurants, shops, Buffalo Bayou, museums, and entertainment venues. If you stroll a few blocks south on Mandell you will find The University of St. Thomas and The Menil. If you stroll a few blocks North, you have Mark's Restaurant, Hugo's, Poscol, Brasil, Da Marco and Underbelly. Along with some great night life such as Anvil Bar and Hay Merchant.
Your furry friends are also welcome, with an additional non refundable fee of $100 due PER PET per say. Our house has gated front and back areas for SUPERVISED dogs to play in (please clean up after him/her) along with an idyllic screened in porch to watch your woof from. Your pet must be crated while you are not home.
This refreshing home, full of natural light, features:
- A spacious living area with a convertible couch, comfy chairs, dining seating at the central kitchen island, & a desk for the more studious of us. All seating is within view of the mounted flat screen so no-one needs to miss out.
- The master bedroom features a luxurious Beautyrest® Black Hybrid King mattress & has an ensuite lavatory.
- The 2nd bedroom features a Queen memory foam mattress & there is a full bathroom the next door along.
- Shared W/D with the back unit
- Wifi and Uverse
The home's central location coupled with excellent flow make this home the perfect choice for convenience and ease of living.

We always encourage transparent communication to ensure a smooth experience for all:
1. Please tell us a bit about yourself along with the general purpose of your stay so we can prepare for your arrival.
2. Please include the FULL NAMES of your guests as a condition of rental.
3. If you are wanting to bring your furry friends along, please send us a picture of each pet, the breed, their weight & if they like other pets or are a loner. We will approve each pet in a timely fashion & as there are 2 on the property, approvals will be on a 1st come 1st served basis. (Note: there is an additional non refundable fee of $100 due per pet per stay).
3. It is important the number of guests in your reservation matches the number of guests that attend. The maids use this to provide ample amenities, supplies & set up the bedrooms. And they are also re-numerated accordingly.
4. An ETA is always appreciated so we can make sure the unit is cooled for you (Houston is sweaty!)

The house is well arranged for couples and for a family. It worked well as a place to gather. The inside was quite clean and the manager communicated promptly and positively. The street is quintessential Montrose.
The porch and front and back yards could use better maintenance but that did not affect the inside.
