De locatie is heerlijk rustig en geeft een prachtige tuin met zwembad. Met de taxi ben binnen 20 min. in de stad. Het personeel is zeer attent. O.a. Murad zorgde ervoor dat het ons aan niets ontbrak.

Impersonnel, très gentil et serviable, Un bon confort, et surtout une très grande piscine, il manque un petit frigo dans la chambre et une bouilloire.

Nous sommes un peu loin de Marrakech

We came to the Orientale for one night before an early morning flight in order to relax by the pool and go golfing. The pool is top notch and did not disappoint at all - very clean and enjoyable to spend the afternoon relaxing. We asked late lunch upon arrival and for an early breakfast at 6am before our flight, which they kindly provided each time.

The guest house is located in an area that is being developed with construction going on to build up the neighborhood. That being said, there is nothing around it and even getting a taxi is difficult. We asked the hotel manager to book a taxi for my husband to go to a nearby golf course - and he hired a private driver with a mini van without telling us the price and charged 60 euros round trip for a 10 minute drive. We didn’t know the price until we check-out of the hotel since the driver would not tell my husband the price. Everything at the guest house is charged in Euros and with a 10% fee to pay by card. We had a brought plenty of cash with us - 1000 MAD but it wasn’t enough to cover the exuberant prices for the driver the hired for us plus the food we ordered when they convert the bill from Euros to MAD. When trying to pay our bill with the Euros we had on us (we had 150 for a 120 euro bill), they weren’t able to break down a 50 euro bill… so we were forced to pay the 10% fee with card. After spending a week in Morocco, we can tell that this is a scam to get the most money possible off of unaware customers! It left a sour taste in our mouths after what had been a perfect week of vacationing in wonderful, well managed Riads before then!
