Peaceful Retreat with Stunning River and Mountain Views, Close to Harpers Ferry

Wonderful view and location. Spacious home with all needed amenities and the fire pit was a nice extra. Little things like yard needed mowing, minor things didn't work and the home could have been freshened up some before guests, keep it from being a 5 star. Having said that, we would not hesitate to stay there again if in the area.

We had a great week! The house was very comfortable and clean. Everything was accurately described in the description of the house. The kitchen was fully equipped – we had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable – we had everything we needed in terms of linens and towels. View from the deck was absolutely stunning. It was an easy drive into the town of Harpers Ferry and some great hiking spots.We would definitely stay at this house again – highly recommend!

Perfect location to spend the weekend in Harper's Ferry. Gorgeous view. Home was lovely. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner and breakfast. Enjoyed playing air hockey, pac man and using the fire pit.

Host was welcoming, check in easy, and view of the River was stunning. We loved the fire pit setup, rec room, and views from the back deck, dining room, master bedroom and the downstairs. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you will need. My grandchild visited and loved the swing set and swing under the deck. We had a few issues during our stay. The internet was spotty at first and then stopped working altogether. We weren’t able to work remotely or watch TV during our stay. The downstairs toilet wouldn’t flush and the upstairs shower wouldn’t turn on or completely off. It was just dripping. My dad waited a full day at the rental for the plumber, who did not come till the following day. Once the plumber came, he was really helpful and fixed the problems. We had no further plumbing issues. The master bed mattress is really sunk in the middle, but the bedroom next door was great. So there were other options for us. We had a gas leak the first night. The host, fire department, and propane company quickly handled it and we had no more issues with the gas. On arrival the outdoor patio cover and cushions were all over the deck and yard. Some of our questions never got resolved or it was a few days delayed, but the owner said she was having serious medical issues, so it was understandable. All in all, even with the many issues, we had a very merry Christmas at this house.
