About this house rental
Welcome to your respite retreat at our meticulously restored historic farmhouse. The wrap around porch with its sunset views provides the perfect backdrop to escape the city & stargaze. For those seeking renewal; sage, Palo Santo, weighted blankets & Dohm sound machines are readily available to cleanse & refresh. If small town hospitality & excellent dining options are more your speed, you are a quick drive to charming downtown Lockhart with its’ art galleries, vintage shopping & restaurants.
The space
Built in 1917 the farm house has been fully remodeled & updated. It features three full bedrooms & two en suite rooms. A large primary bedroom with king size bed & en suite bath downstairs. Two queen bedrooms are situated across the hallway from one another upstairs, separated by a spacious bathroom suite. Adjacent to each upstairs bedroom are two attached dormer rooms with Xl twins for additional sleep & relaxation space. The large open family & dinning room allow guests to access the porch & nearly 4 acres of surrounding green-space. Violet crow sunsets & expansive stargazing are uninterrupted by city light pollution. A fully outfitted kitchen & laundry room with additional fridge allow for large groups to entertain in the countryside.
Our property is located less than 20 miles from Circuit of the America, less than 25 miles from the Austin Airport, & less than 7 miles from the Lockhart city square. A short 1.4 miles down Barth Rd is Spoaks Motopark MX Track. Contact us for MX bike lesson if you would enjoy a more adventurous excursion for almost all ages. My 5yr old, 7yr old boys, & 40yr old husband could NOT stop talking about the fun they had learning to ride MX Bikes!
Guest access
Guests will receive a code on the day of their check in allowing them access to the side entrance. Guests are not permitted in the garage or RV. Access to the barn is at your own risk. There are farm implements & tools. We are not responsible for accidents & injuries.
Other things to note
This property is truly a country retreat. Please be aware of your surroundings as you may encounter Texas critters like snakes, scorpions, small field mice, & wasps. We provide regular pest control & maintenance, but these critters are still about the property.

Very relaxing, cozy, w/nice views of the countryside. Up to date amenities, pet friendly & ample space. I highly recommend if you want to get away from it all, while being in the country & enjoy seeing the stars.

it’s an older style home. But it worked fantastic for us. They even had star link, which was a nice surprise. The kitchen was well stocked and the window that opened to a meadow was just beautiful. The host was accessible and very communicative. It was a great stay.

Close to Lockhart, Red Rock and Bastrop! (20 minutes!)
The house was and had everything we needed for our family gathering with my mom who has terminal cancer. Plenty of seating inside and out for family to visit, eat, or watch TV. We chose homes with acreage and this property was absolutely beautiful and clean with wonderful views that go far, and watching the cattle grazing and the sun setting was a plus. Our dog loved running the big gated/fenced yard and we got to toss the Frisbee. If mom could have joined us, we would have started the firepit and sat around it enjoying the cool evening. Beds were comfy and mom slept on the couch because she cannot walk upstairs anymore. Sadly, last minute, our grandson didn't get to travel with us. He sure missed a great experience and family time! Thank you for sharing your home!

Very clean, comfortable home, completely renovated. A bit isolated from Lockhart but easily accessable to COTA, and surroundings. Beautiful home.
