After some airport delays, we arrived very late into the evening. Check in was super easy, and the house was set and ready for arrival. Maria was extremely responsive to any questions or needs. When we woke in the morning, I was unsuccessful in getting the reusable keurig pod to work and struggled with the espresso machine. I inquired if there was a standard drip coffee machine available and she arranged to have one dropped off that day along with filters. The house was beautifully decorated and very comfortable to stay in. Most anything you need for standard cooking was available. We were visiting my nephew, as he's in the Naval academy, and the location was perfect! It was a great place to just hang out and have family dinners when we didn't feel like eating out. Found it took between 20-40 minutes to get to most places, although there is some shopping/ grocery store within minute. The neighborhood was quiet and quaint. The backyard is available to use, but there is not direct access from inside. You must walk around the house to access it. If you are looking for a private single family home to stay in, this house may not be the one for you. As noted in the listing, there is a tenant that lives in the lower portion of the house. The door between their living space and the rest of the house is secured, but you can hear any conversation and activities. We had zero issues but it's something to take into consideration. Overall it was a great week and we would stay again.

Our stay in Hanahan was great. The location was close to Charleston and all the goings on but not located in a super busy area. There was no washer or dryer available but a very clean laundromat nearby. The place was clean and neat.

Property owner was very nice. However, the details of the property was a bit misleading. Listing did not specifically state there'd be someone living within the home with only a locked door (on both sides) seperating the living quarters. Initially it was extremely uncomfortable knowing a stranger was on the premises. We had to introduce ourselves so we'd know who the individual was (he was also nice). There wasn't a sufficient amount of clean towels or additional clean bed linens. We had to do a lot of initial cleaning but once completed it was much better. We did our best to leave the property tidy and as clean as possible. Again, the owner was very nice and did state if her other properties were available she would have offered another location. Not bad but not great for the price.paid. We wouldn't stay at this particular Vrbo again.
