About this apartment rental
The Federal House Apartments are duplex style, there are two apartments each is 2 floors sharing only one wall in the center. The apartments were built new in the mid 2000's and thoughtful constructed to host rental guests. Each apartment has hardwood floors throughout an open floor plan with lots of natural light and easy access to the outside including a balcony off the bedrooms on the second floor. Each apartment is private and has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. The back deck and laundry room are shared only amongst the 2 apartments. The apartments are offer for rent individually. The Federal House main house has an in-ground pool shared with all three units during the summer months only. The pool is open from memorial day - labor day.
The Federal House is a perfect location. For those playing at Dreams Park you will have everything you need within a short distance. The house is only 1 mile from the park and a block away from the grocery store, McDonalds and more. The Village of Cooperstown, The Baseball Hall of Fame, The Farmers’ Museum, the Fenimore Art Museum, restaurants, and shops are all just minutes away. It is also conveniently located near the famed New York Beverage Trail, with Brewery Ommegang, Red Shed Brewery and Cooperstown Brewery all located within a 4 mile radius.
The Federal House compound is offered for rent as a whole during the summer months or as 3 separate units, see The Federal House & Apartments

My parents and i came up here with mt toddler daughter for a Cooperstown/Baseball Hall of Fame weekend. This spot was super local, quiet, and private. It allowed us to all be in the same place but also had plenty of room for my parents and i to sleep seperately and without disturbing anyone. My toddler had feeedom to play in the house and run around outaide on the grass. my parents

The apartment was as advertised, and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms weren't very clean, and the kitchen sink and bathroom tub in particular were visibly dirty. We found some sponges and cleaned both, not a big deal, but not something I'd expect when paying a cleaning fee. On departure, they want you to do a lot of cleaning before leaving (vacuum, sweep, put the towels in the wash, etc.) The guest before us may not have done their part to clean up, and hence the less-than-clean condition. Otherwise, the manager was very friendly and helpful, and the location is only 7-8 minutes from Main Street Cooperstown. We'd stay again.

Purpose of the stay was to visit the Baseball Hall of Fame. We enjoyed the accommodations along with proximity to the Baseball Hall. We were surprised though of the absence of shampoo & soap in the bathrooms during our stay as all previous VRBO stays included these amenities.
