About this house rental
Tied Vacation Home - Emden and the Sea
Dog-friendly · Private garden & parking · Wi-Fi & Smart TV · 2 bedrooms · Quiet location
Nestled in the heart of the idyllic Warfendorf village of Upleward, this lovingly restored former farmworker’s house awaits you—a place where history, nature, and relaxation come together in perfect harmony.
You’re just about a seven-minute bike ride from the Dollart dike with its unique dry beach and a small swimming spot. The fully fenced-in garden with a kitchen terrace and sunbathing lawn invites you to linger, while two private parking spaces right in front of the house make for a convenient arrival.
Inside, you’ll find an open-concept kitchen-living room with a spacious dining area and a cozy sofa corner. Wi-Fi and a smart TV (for your own streaming services) ensure comfort and entertainment. From the living area, you have direct access to the garden terrace—ideal for breakfast in the morning sun or relaxing summer evenings outdoors.
The modern, fully equipped kitchen leaves nothing to be desired: a dishwasher and an extensive array of kitchen appliances make cooking a pleasure. For longer stays, a washing machine is available in the adjacent room—especially convenient for families or long-term guests.
The house features two cozy bedrooms:
– One bedroom with a comfortable double bed
– Another with a double bunk bed, accessible from the side—perfect for couples or small families.
Both rooms are equipped with blackout curtains and fly screens to ensure a restful night’s sleep.
The modern bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower, tasteful fixtures, and a pleasant sense of space—perfect for starting the day refreshed or winding it down in relaxation.
The historic village of Upleward, one of the characteristic pile-dwelling villages of Krummhörn, captivates with its tranquility, narrow alleys, water ditches, and the ornate fences by artist Giuseppe Lund, which lend the village its unmistakable charm.
The dike is only about 1.5 kilometers away. Beyond it lies the vast landscape of the Dollart—with idyllic walking trails, bike paths, and natural access to the water (tide-dependent).
The region is dog-friendly: One of the few sections of the dike where dogs are allowed begins right between the Upleward access point and the Campen Lighthouse.
From here, you can explore the full diversity of East Frisia: Greetsiel, Emden, Norden, or the islands of Juist and Norderney are easily accessible by bike, bus, or car.
This single-story house combines East Frisian authenticity with modern living comfort—an ideal retreat for anyone seeking relaxation, open spaces, and authenticity.
Upleward—your refuge with heart, wind, and open spaces.
