Amikales Rooms

The apartment was in a central location and fairly easy to find from the train station. It was in immaculate condition and spotlessly clean. The living area was furnished with a nice red leather (vinyl?) couch, television on a buffet and a dining room table which seated four in very comfortable chairs. The compact kitchen was equipped with a coffee machine, a microwave and oven as well as a stove top , a dishwasher, ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils and really good quality saucepans and frying pan. The front bedroom was large and spacious, furnished with two bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers, several mirrors and three wardrobes. The hosts - Michela and her husband were absolutely lovely. They met me at the property and gave me an introduction to the apartment which was much appreciated. There was also a folder in Italian and English containing helpful information on things to see and do in Padova. Another thoughtful and appealing gesture was the 12 photos on the wall in the living room featuring notable aspects of the city. I was particularly impressed that an Alexi was provided. I have never used one before and have definitely never encountered one in any accommodation I have stayed in. What a novelty! Michela and her husband even took the time to demonstrate to me how it worked.

The apartment was dark inside and it was necessary to have the lights on at all times. Although there were 3 windows in the living area, they were opaque and hence did not let in any natural light and could only be opened slightly onto an internal garage and stairwell. While it was possible to fully open the double window in the front bedroom to let in some fresh air, it directly faced the street, so there was a relative lack of privacy, as the apartment was on the ground floor. During the night, it was difficult to sleep well as the front bedroom became quite hot even with the air conditioner in the lounge turned down to 17 degrees. One welcome improvement would be to install a ceiling fan in the front bedroom or provide a pedestal fan. This would make a notable difference.

Michela este o gazda excepțională. Ne-a întâmpinat la sosire, ne-a facilitat sa ne cazam ceva mai devreme. Am găsit tot ce era necesar in apartament. Liniște. Pat confortabil. Curățenie.

Posizione molto buona, appartamento nuovo e ben attrezzato, la cucina permette di preparare qualcosa da mangiare e ho trovato in dotazione (pur non essendo dovuto) tutto il necessario per fare colazione e che di piu. Le camere sono grandi, tutto pulito, letto e materasso confortevolissimo, host molto gentili e disponibili.

L' appartamento è completamente privo di luce naturale, si deve stare con la luce elettrica anche nelle ore centrali. Poco male perché di solito chi soggiorna ha più necessità di stare fuori che dentro casa. Però credo sarebbe corretto segnalarlo.
