    Great stay at Hotel Plus Hostel Asakusa. The room was clean and comfortable, check-in and check-out were easy, and the location was very convenient—close to the train station and nearby shops. Everything we needed was available.

    Pro: Amenities are neat & pretty standard for a hostel. Bed & blankets were comfortable enough to sleep well. It was also pretty convenient that they had laundry services available. Con: I booked this last minute & did not realize it only had a communal bath & NO private showers. If you're not comfortable getting naked in front of strangers, do not book this hostel. I had to muster my courage & researched onsen etiquette and ended up enjoying the hot bath. If you are brave enough to experience this uniquely Japanese activity of bathing with other naked people, I highly recommend doing a quick google of the do's and dont's in onsens/Japanese communal baths.

    Out of more than 5 hotel / hostel in my tour in Japan, this no doubt the worst hostel I have stay. First, I remembered clearly I choose the package with breakfast with Agoda. Upon reaching the hostel, the staff claim that the package I ordered is without breakfast. The staff also accused me of booking the wrong package when he was not even there when I booked the package. Second, I was warned harshly not to lose the second floor ladies shower 🚿area key else I will be fine 5000 yen. Third, because I injured my arm previously and requested for a low bunk, the staff just rejected flatly. Fourth, when I arrived to 8th Female Level, I am shocked to find out that place is full packed and messy. Fifth, the next morning, I wanted a cup of water (cos the hotel has refused me breakfast) only to realised that this hotel don't even provide cups or paper cups. This deal is labelled as preferred partner of Agoda and was just disappointing. I will not booked the hotel again and warned any tourist wanting to consider this hostel be ready for poor service and quality of the hostel. P. S. Btw, this hotel has only public shower and required guest to be fully nude to bath in the public shower. I was not prepared for that as a foreigner
