The property is really nicely fitted out and well equipped with attractive and modern kitchen and bathroom. Being a basement it strayed pretty cool during the incredibly hot weather and the small patio was pleasant to sit out for a drink. The neighbourhood is rather run down and rough around the edges but we found everyone to be friendly and helpful. We walked everywhere and found it pretty convenient.

To call this a quiet central flat is misleading. There is no insulation from the flat above and so you can hear everything. They were NOT noisy but it is like you are all living together! It’s on a main road and there’s a pub that does karaoke a few doors down, we could join in the singing from the flat! Central? Everything is within a 20 min walk which is convenient but this is not city centre with restaurants and shops on your doorstep. Parking is an issue. We used the 2 parking permits supplied but it was not easy to find spaces and as we were there for 5 nights there was a lot of shuffling the car to different spots. The beds are not the best and my adult son in particular found the single beds very uncomfortable.

The flat is beautiful and ideal for a couple of days. Main double bed is lovely and comfortable and flats cool due to its basement location. Easy walking distance to station and to centre of city.

Twin beds are not great could do with new mattresses. Parking not easy as we only had one permit and everywhere around d is permit holders only apart from area by park where you get 2 hours. Flat lovely but area not so
