About this villa rental
"La Gufaia" is an holiday house for 10 people located in the area of Carmignan and surrounded by vineyards. Carmignano is an ideal starting point for visiting the major cities of art and characteristic places of Tuscany. Located about 23 km from the Florence city center and 50 minutes from the Pisa airport. Siena and Lucca are reachable in 1 hour and 20 minutes.
The area of Carmignano, well known for its wines, offers wine tasting facilities and tipical little town to visit. In 5 minutes by car it is possible to visit the beautiful Artimino which is famous for the stunning Villa Medici "La Ferdinanda" and some nice restaurant and little bars where you can try the local wines and food with an incredible view from above over the city.
Even though the house is located in the countryside there are many villages and small towns in the immediate vicinity where you can go shopping and take advantage of any type of service (supermarket, pharmacy, medical center, gym, tennis courts, golf and horse riding)
Near the house there is a suggestive path from which it is possible to reach the small village of Comeana on foot.
The property for rent is divided into a main part, where there is the kitchen, the living room and two bedrooms and an annex with two bedrooms that is a few meters away. The garden with swimming pool and solarium enjoys a wonderful view of the hills and has a covered dining area with gazebo and brick barbecue.

A wonderful, quiet and stunning location for my whole family to spend time together. There were 9 of us: my 2 sons and their families with children 13, 9 and 5 month old baby. The swimming pool was maintained in pristine condition.
We managed trips to Florence, a local winery and market towns.
Brenda our host was extremely helpful and prompt giving us details for shopping, restaurants, etc.
We only stayed a week but would love to return to experience more of Tuscany.
