The proximity to the village was great and the views and access to the fields behind were exceptional. We really enjoyed Hnswoeths Yard for drinks, cheese boards and pizzas, and had lovely meqls atnthe Pig and Whistle and Cavandish. The dog lived running in the fields with the public footpaths and Cartmel race course. The cottage had all the facilities needed although could maybe have used a fan given the very warm weather. Closeness to local things to do was really helpful with time spent at Fell Foot (kayaking, cruise, aquarium), Go Ape at Grizeland Wood and the Beatrix Potter experience in Bowness.
