Well equipped, cosy cottage. Very clean and maintained to a high standard. Location is good for exploring the area and very close to train station. There is a village shop across road which we found really handy.
Could have benefited from a table in the kitchen for convenience.
And this sounds a bit obvious but as the cottage is advertised as Mulberry Cottage there should be a sign on the cottage saying this!

This is one of the best self-catering properties we have ever stayed in. The property was imaculate and was very well equiped. The decor was lovely, the seating dining room was comfortable. Everything you could ever need was provided in the kitchen (except for your food, you need to provide, of course). The two double bedrooms were well equipped and the beds very comfortable. A range of books and games were available, if needed. Communication with the host was easy and he responded very quickly to questions. The location was great for our needs with easy trips made to Grange-over-sands, Ulverston, Hawkshead and Windermere. The overall surroundings were lovely with nice easy walks on the doorstep.
There was a well stocked local shop across the road, a short walk to the train station (we used it to get to and from Grange and Ulverston). A five minute walk took us to a garden centre (Flookburgh) that had a fantastic coffee shop that stocked hot and cold food and fantastic cakes. Flookburgh also has a fish and chip takeaway. The local pub was a minute away from the property and was a decent place for a drink. Unfortunately the kitchen was closed while we were there for some reason so I cannot comment on the food.
There was nothing about the property we disliked. For some people, there may be an issue with traffic noise as it is on a rural road with farm and other traffic, but it didn't bother us.

The bed was comfortable. The cottage was located near to other villages, so a short walk to pubs and other amenities.
The stairs are extremely steep and very narrow treads. Unfortunately my husband who has large feet fell down the stairs and hurt his arm and elbow. It was very hot so it would have been nice to have a fan available.
We had an issue during the trip, however, we were unable to get in contact with Sykes. We rang the emergency number but it just redirected you to the website. Thankfully the issue resolved itself but not being able to speak to anyone was really quite frustrating.

Very clean and cosy had everything needed
Only complaint was it said there would be enough logs for the first night in cottage there was none there and the parking was not great

Comfy bed and sofa, good facilities, great location - easy 2 minute walk to the station and had parking easily enough outside. Shop close by. The outdoor space was pleasant and caught the sun. We all felt safe and cozy.
The TV is rather small but I understand it’s quite fitting for the cottage and I found my socks picked up a lot of hair from the carpet that weren’t mine!

Everything you could possibly need had bee thought of, from salt and vinegar to a selection of tea and coffee. The kitchen was well-equipped with good quality kitchen and table ware, the appliances were in excellent order from hoover to fridge freezer. Upstairs the bedrooms were off a decent size and the beds were very comfortable. Good quality linen on the beds and good quality towels in the bathroom.
Throughout the cottage the place had been thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and arranged.
Only that there were not separate bags/boxes for our recycling but we were able to sort that ourselves.
If I was being picky a 'book of the house' might have been useful but we were able to work out most things except how to use Netflix; and a cache of leaflets showing what was around the area to visit but again, we were able to sort that out for ourselves.

it was a very comfortable cottage. clean. well decorated. the kitchen was well equipped with many different pots & pans.
the only downside of the cottage is the parking. unable to park outside unless on the pavement. there is free parking just down the road which wasn’t a problem for us.
