Sea Whisper

The general layout is very good and the garden courtyard was a real bonus given the lack of outlook. The kitchen is well appointed, although the cooking ware is in poor condition, rusty pans and chipped enamel. The downstairs living area is spacious and comfortable. The garage was a big plus. The proximity to the beach is good, but access through the woods is tricky for the elderly or those with walking disabilities.

The lack of a sea view was disappointing. The absence of air conditioning in the upstairs bedrooms made for very uncomfortable nights for our fellow guests. It was hot and airless. The fans supplied are completely insufficient. The beds were made up with thick duvets which didn’t help. The bath towels were very small and thin and no complementary toiletries were supplied in the bathrooms. The kitchen pans were rusty and chipped. The information booklet needs to include instructions on how to use the tv remotes. Also rubbish disposal and recycling. Accessing and locking up the property was muddling.

The hosts were easy to make contact with (they reached out via WhatsApp), and we agreed on the arrival time and key handover.

The location, proximity to the beach and some local eateries. Also liked the pool and complimentary firewood. Lovely team looking after the place.

It’s a lovely holiday home. I think the beds could be more comfortable. Offering a cleaning service would be welcome.

The master bedroom and bathroom smelled strongly of stale smoke
