金源賓館 Golden Yuan Guest House

Perfect for some days in Hongkong. Small but everything you need. I recommend to book the double room also for singles. Ladies in the reception very friendly.

Nothing to complain

We had a lovely stay at Golden Yuan Guesthouse. Yes, the room is small, but the booking makes this very apparent and it is normal for Hong Kong budget rooms. That being said, the room was very comfortable for our weeklong stay and we found it to be the perfect place for resting after busy days exploring. The host was very friendly, always checking how we were doing and frequently changing our bin for us. They have a shared microwave and fridge which comes in handy. The room is also walking distance from Mongkok and a subway station, making the location ideal! I would definitely recommend staying here for your trip to Hong Kong!

The staff was very accommodating and helpful. I have a bad back and everything was prepared so that I would be comfortable. The hotel is in the heart of Hong Kong very close to famous sights and virtually next door to a tube station, which was extremely handy. The room is what you pay for. It is tiny, but I chose it for its location not for its facilities. It was quiet (amazingly) and had access to coffee/tea and even some fruit and biscuits, which was I think a really nice touch.

There was only one electrical socket that worked and no USB ports anywhere. It would have been nice to have more so charging could have been less of a bother.

Location is great once you find it as its on the 5th floor.

I have no issue with the small room as it is HK comfort but the aircon is wonky and becoming a big issue as it goes from 15 16 degree to suddenly 28 degree. I had to wake up a few times in the middle of the night to either reset the aircon or turn it off. Could have been cleaner and better ventilated.
