Comfy sofa.
Had booked 2 nights. On our first night electrics kept 'tripping' neighbours complaining of sparks coming from bathroom to outside.
Boiler had a mind of its own, shower was cold.
Bedrooms very cramped with electric cables dangling over bed, bare wires on the other bedroom TV, this TV didn't work but maybe that was a blessing!
No door between bedrooms.
Wardrobe full of damp so didn't use.
Couldn't use cooker without Googleing make and model as the dial icons had rubbed off. Only one dining knife.
Messaged owner after discovering the shower was cold on our second morning (we hadn't used it on our first night) this combined with the electrics and boiler issues we said we decided to find alternative accommodation and asked if we could be refunded for the second night.
The owner took many hours to reply and refused to give us a refund due to us not leaving by 10am. This was because we didn't discover the shower was cold until late morning so we left once we'd found something else and finished packing.
Very disappointed 😞

It was lovely inside
We couldn’t work out the heating so we could shower or have the heating on and did get very cold but they did reply when I asked in the morning as we arrived late so we assumed it would come on and by morning it was on

Quiet location
Good kitchen (including washing machine)
Newly painted.
Clean bathroom
Very misleading description
The ‘private garden’ was a barren area in a back alley overlooked by multiple properties.
On arrival the unit smelt very musty and mouldy.
In both bedrooms the beds were only accessible from one side.
The doorway to the second bedroom had no door.
There were no toiletries in the bathroom.

The location to our preferred beach was good. It was neutrally decorated it was obvious they took great pride in their holiday let. A good sized bathroom and kitchen. Instructions for entry and the key safe and WiFi was clearly communicated by our host. Tea, coffee and sugar were provided including all plates and cutlery and clean towels and a few useful toiletries. Parking along the main road was easy to find. TV's in each bedroom. Good lighting with lamps. Ample mirrors throughout the property. Easy access to Chinese takeaway and the local mini supermarket. 1 min walk.
My main issue was the shower hose was removed from the electric shower. The location had a rowdy neighbour playing loud music after 10pm ( not the host's fault obviously ) The TV in the living room was impossible to set up and kept refreshing the main menu so we gave up. But all in all a great place

The location for Torquay harbour was good, just 20 minutes walk although a bit longer on the way back as up hill! Parking was 30 mins directly outside and then free parking on side road 5 mins walk away so didn't cost anything. Great resteraunts in the harbour.
The apartment was quite tired and close to local takeaways so strong food smell. The apartment was reached from the rear of the building and was surrounded by garages and bins from all the other flats and shops so sitting out on the small patio area wasn't really an option. It was a basement flat so no windows other than the one for the bathroom so hard to ventilate.
One of the beds was slightly on a slant which made sleeping difficult but the sofa was great and so slept on that instead. The other bed was lumpy and the room damp. The wardrobe in one of the rooms was dusty with damp so could not keep clothes in it. It was also difficult to open. Lack of floor space so keeping clothes in the luggage bag was frustrating. The bedrooms were a little on the small size with no bedside lamp by the pillows so getting out of bed at night in the pitch black difficult. Had to use torch on phone which then meant it could not charge as no sockets! Both sets of bedding were very bobbley and old. The bedrooms did not have doors so no privacy. The floors looked clean but were very dirty. There was no lock on the bathroom door and it would not click shut so we had to stop it opening by using one of the towels. The towels were very tired and needed replacing.
The mantle in the lounge is dangerous and coming away from the wall, probably because it protrudes into the lounge and it's difficult to manoeuvre around that and the L shaped sofa.
The pictures of the garden space and then the view of Torbay harbour very misleading!
The key safe awkward to use as old.
TVs are old and wiring looks a little suspect.

It is a nice little apartment and looks modern and clean. Location not too far from museum and harbour. Premier store just outside.
Instructions on where exactly to park and how to then find the property were quite unclear.
Unfortunately the next door neighbours of the property were using their front patio which directly joins this property, to entertain and talk very loudly and play music all hours of the night and due to size, it may as well be in your patio. Kept waking my children, went on until probably 4am. Older women.
No shower and no lock for bathroom.

Great access to town. Parking fine on main road even though no allocated space.
Hosts were responsive - just a bit nonplussed by the way they "managed" it.
The situation around the back is a bit grotty. We arrived to reggae music blasting out from one of the balconies. Turns out the hosts have complained about the guy multiple times. This was in arvo - thankfully that was it so no worries in evening for us.
No windows in the bedroom. Also the two bedrooms don't have a door between them.
Apartment is superficially clean.
Lack of attention to detail/care. They just need to stay here for a day or so. Pans disgusting, no wine glasses, no cover for bin, wif code on chalkboard incorrect, had to hunt for TV remotes (down side of sofa) etc etc
We were unlucky in that soon after we arrived a major leak occurred inside the property. This subsequently took out the electricity (and WiFi). Whilst the hosts were responsive their initial reaction to a severe leak was "is there anything you'd like us to do" 😂 Long story short, they did come and were apologetic...but the tales of woe about Tennant's always stealing things and their issues with the guy with the alsatian two floors above didn't really have anything to do with our complaints.
If it wasn't for the leak I suppose that we'd just say this was adequate for a cheap stop over (thankfully all we did) but could not recommend if you want a fresh smelling, place for a longer stay - unless you bring your own frying pans, wine glasses and fabreze.

The location was great with just a short walk into Torquay and it was very good value for money. The kitchen was nice and functional. The lounge had 1 nice big comfy sofa which seated 4 of us. The 2 beds were comfortable.
The owner replied to messages quickly and offered to clean up the flood.
It was ok just for 1 night.
It was flooded when we arrived and there was a strange smell. We tried to mop the floor but the mop was useless.
It states there is parking but the only place was in front of some garages and in the morning we had to move our car as we were blocking someone's garage which is apparently a common occurrence.
The shower was only a trickle unless it was extreme temperatures.

We liked the great location, free parking, small outside area with a washing line for beach wear and that the property had everything we needed for a short stay. The mains went during our stay and the host was responsive, lovely and had it sorted really quickly.
The bedrooms had a bad odour of either stale smoke or damp and both beds were quite uncomfortable.

Great location. Easy to get to everything. Just the right size for our family. Owners very helpful.

Unfortunately we could not get the heating to work but not a huge problem. Shelf over fire in lounge we thought was quite dangerous sharp corners had to be very careful. Overall everything else was ok.

Great ‘home from home’ night away

Ability to park at the property and the location.
The property could use sprucing up, the paint job is a bit of a landlords special, the towels and bedding has seen better days and the mattresses are basic (spring). Wardrobes are missing hangers. The shelf under the telly is quite in the way, there isn’t anywhere to hang the coats. Also there is a beeping sound in one of the bedroom cupboards that’s comes on at 11am and lasts 20 minutes. I cannot imagine anyone returning.
