Excellent base for weekend break

This is a warm and cosy house, with all the things we wanted for a weekend break in Nottingham visiting the Christmas market and the castle. Very convenient for frequent buses into the city too and a Wetherspoons just a 10-15 min walk away.

Lovely property very clean and cosy , the snacks were a lovely gesture especially after our 6 hour drive

Our stay was quite pleasant and enjoyable

The property was very comfortable and clean and it appears the owner took pride in making the place welcoming for the guests. The utensils were clean and adequate for our stay - good size mugs🙂. We appreciated the snacks, tea, coffee and milk. Appropriate instructions were given prior to our entry and also left in the property. We therefore did not have to make any additional contact with the host. The area was very quiet and peaceful. The dogs Nextdoor barked occasionally but it wasn’t t excessive or disturbing.

There was nothing not to like about the property. Only couple of observation for improvement: The window blind in the room overlooking the drive is very loose and kept falling down, hence it was difficult to roll it down/up. The bed base in the other room is quite close to the table therefore we kept banging our leg against it which was bruising. The iron isn’t hot enough and doesn’t remove creases

Comfortable stay in Nottingham on favourites list .

We really liked this place. Booked it to stay here whilst helping a family member move house. We all stayed here for a few days The house appears really small but the layout is great and there is enough space to relax. Patio doors from the living room area open to the garden Which was great for our dogs. The neighbouring houses appear close together but it was a quiet and peaceful place to stay and the neighbours were polite and cheerful and we had lots of privacy. The kitchen was fully functional ( we were making family meals in there) and there was a dining table big enough for us.. The bathroom was roomy .

I just tried to book it again but it is fully booked .😄

I would recommend this property to everyone, it was well worth the stay.

The property was clean, the parking was great. Apart from what I wrote in the next question the place was excellent and the neighbour at number 20 was very helpful moving her car to accommodate our car. The rest of the house was great and the TV channels are very good.

There was spiders in the 3 corner ceiling in the small room and the freezer had a tub of half eaten ice cream left in there. 10am is just a little early to exit and make sure the property is left clean and tidy. The nextdoor neighbour at number 16, kids made a lot of noise and booted their ball into the garden.

An amazing place to stay in Nottingham

Claygate place is a great place to stay, absolutely spotless I couldn't fault it, very convenient for the city centre,10 minute walk to local shops and pubs,we can definitely recommend Claygate place for anyone visiting Nottingham.
