Lanterne Magiche Ortigia - Dependances

Terrific two room spot with a nicely sized bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor and a small kitchen and lovely terrace up a tiny rounded staircase. The bedroom was very clean with a large comfortable bed, wardrobe and dresser with plenty of space to store one's clothing, and two cheerful, comfortable chairs. The upstairs terrace was spacious with a rustic table and chairs, an abundance of greenery, and one can just make out the sea when facing east at the edge of the terrace. As for the kitchen, it was functional and even had a small table and chairs. Most of all the space was quiet and a nice refuge from the more touristed spots on Ortigia. The staff was also very responsive to issues which was greatly appreciated and only a phone call away on the house phone. Checkin and checkout were also easily accomplished at the dedicated reception area around the corner.

-There was a pronounced moldy smell emanating from the ground floor bedroom and a few damp spots with what looked to be the beginnings of mold along the north wall and the south wall by the side of the wardrobe. -The shower head had also seen much better days with a lot of limescale and an uneven trickle. It should definitely be replaced. -The only other issue was related to cleaning: I had not been informed at the time of booking that cleaning was not included. As I was only there for 3 nights it was not that big of an issue, but I should have been alerted.

Perfect location, clean.

Actually very strange decoration in the wall near the bed, old piece of wood should demonstrate authenticity, but rusty nail near your head ….

La nula insonorización de la vivienda. Cada moto que pasa o incluso toda conversación de la vecina suena como si no hubiera paredes.
