Lovely 2 Bedroom in San Gimignano Historic Center

Location was excellent. The apartment was exactly what was expected. It had all the charm of the location with all the modern coveiniences. It was located close to everything in the small city of San Gimignano and accessable to the Tuscany region by car. Great choice!

Not meeting the host. Had to contact by phone. He was accessable and very cordial. But, I like to meet the person or staff I deal with. That did not deter from the excellent stay.

Location and comfortable

Localisation parfaite, permettant d’aller et venir dans San Gimignano plusieurs fois par jour, dont le soir quand le village est vide de touristes! Appartement bien équipé, bonne literie, au frais.

Le plafond est mal insonorisé et on entend les pas/les voix des voisins du dessus

We don’t usually give negative feedback and prefer to contact the owner if there is a problem. When we checked in there was no toilet paper to be found! No rubbish bags or tea and coffee. We contacted the owner and had to wait an hour before the cleaner arrived with some. We had noticed a bad drain smell in the bathroom but thought it would clear. The next morning the drain smell was horrible and throughout the apartment so we contacted the owner to ask if he was aware of it. His response was “i’m sorry about the smell all over the apartment, please call booking to help you find an other acommodation please leave the keys back on the lock box, and let me know what time you check out, i’m sorry our place did not work out for you.” We replied that we were only trying to be helpful by letting him know. We told him we didn’t want to check out and were happy in the apartment and love the location. In my previous review the owner responded by saying that we had arrived an hour earlier than check in and that the apartment was still in the process of being prepared which is why some of the essentials like toilet paper, rubbish bags and refreshments had not yet been stocked. This is not true. We arrived at the property 45 minutes early hoping to drop off our bags. The cleaner opened the door and said we could come in and that she was finished. She left shortly after with no mention of returning with supplies.
