The property was in a disarray and unclean when we arrived approximately an hour after check in time. The merchant did not respond right away and after waiting a half hour on the ash covered porch, we booked alternate accommodation. The merchant was apologetic for the condition and asked us to wait a few more hours. I explained that I was travelling with companion with disability who required rest so we booked alternative accommodation. We asked that they reverse the charge. The merchant sent another apology. I have learned from my financial institution that the merchant is, unfortunately, requesting payment of over 800 for services not provided. It is in dispute.

Excellent! Very clean, and very accomodating. I called late at night to ask for extra sheets and the cleaner came up to help us. I called the host several times and she was so helpful. It's very close to the Falls, a great place for a vacation. Everyone in my family had nothing but great things to say. I'd definitely stay here again.

The property is not accurate to the listing. The air conditioning did not work. When i called i was told they were working on it. In the listing it not show there was a family living in the basement. The listing shows that there is a smart TV in the living room. This TV did not work. My brother had to reattach a hose to toilet in the master bath. The 4th room is unusable in the summer since the ac if it did work would not have reached the 4th floor and was bot a safe temperarure. The house was also not very clean

The outside of the home is run down and needs a lot of work, but the inside is beautifully remodeled. The kitchen is well equipped, except we had an issue with the coffee pot. It was a cheap Kurig, the water container was filled with water, but we discovered in the morning that it did not work. The owner said the previous guests didn’t say anything, but when you clean for new guests and see a coffee maker filled with water & a K-cup next to it that has a hole in the top, but not used, wouldn’t you check the machine? Instead of having someone go to a store for a new one, one was ordered. We had already bought groceries the night before, including more K-cups, but never used them. I was told one would be delivered the next day, but it took 2 days, plus when my husband went to get the box on the porch the next morning, the man that lives in the basement took it and said it was his. I had to contact the owner twice, because she didn’t understand at first that the tenant downstairs took the new coffee pot. She thought there was a delay in delivery & told me she had no control over shipment. Said she would have the tenant in the basement check the box. When we returned from touring during the day, the woman downstairs came running out to meet us with the new coffee pot. They knew the box wasn’t theirs, but took it, and we ended up with coffee only on our last morning.

Very nice location and house. Plenty of room for our family. We could walk to Clifton Hill or the falls, or we drove to Whirlpool Aerocar for free parking and took the WeGo bus. A minor detail as you are choosing a house: We visited during a very hot time of summer, and the loft bedroom was very hot. In other times of year, it would be lovely. The rest of the house was air conditioned and nice.

Great stay - house was perfect for our group. Location was a great commute to and from the Clifton Hill area. Could see the fireworks every night from the small office area off of the primary bedroom. Would definitely stay again for another trip to Niagara.

Our family stayed at this property the beginning of July. We had a wonderful trip to Niagara but the home had both pros and cons. The outside upkeep of the home is lacking with very overgrown grass and weeds. Thankfully, the inside of the home was quite beautiful. It is well renovated and very clean. A few air vents need replaced as they are cheap plastic and broken but overall the home itself inside was pleasant & well accommodated. The location was very ideal for walking downtown however if you have small children or are uncomfortable in cities walking away from the home the opposite of downtown was definitely a bit more questionable. though we enjoyed our stay we felt the home was not marketed properly. House management lives in the basement which we knew we would hear but please be aware you will hear a small child and movement all hours of day and night and will smell whatever they cook as it wafts upward into the Airbnb. To us that wasn’t so pleasant and we felt it was not described as such in the listing. Also the home is listed as 4 bedrooms. It is NOT! The 4th bedroom is in an attic loft up teeny tiny stairs that even signs say “watch your head”. My children even had a difficult time getting up there. Also the AC does NOT cool in that attic loft. Even with a fan in the summer months it is unbearable to sleep there. This property should only be listed as a 3 bedroom. Overall there are both pros and cons but for us we probably would choose to stay elsewhere next time.

It’s an older home but very nicely refurbished inside. Some minor problems with small appliances not working properly and living room TV is not hooked up to anything so you can’t use it for anything. But overall, the home was very clean and comfortable.

Impressed with the location and cleanliness of the property.Washer and dryer were listed as amenities, but access was not given to us. We sent an email through VRBO and did not receive a response. We then called both numbers that were listed on the contact sheet but did not receive a response. We had clothes that we needed to wash and dry. This caused a couple in the party to have to go and purchase new shoes.Property manager lived in the basement below and you could hear the baby crying.Roku remote did not work so we had to use our cell phone apps. When the property manager was notified, they asked if they should fix them. To me this is an important part of entertainment while we are in the house.

The inside of the house was beautiful. However, read the description thoroughly because there are no washcloths and there was at least one child living in the basement with the property manager. The laundry facilities are also located down in the basement so you have to coordinate using them. Otherwise the living areas were very nice and spacious and the location was great!

The house was very clean and comfortable. It had a fully equipped kitchen except we couldn’t find any tea towels to dry dishes with. We enjoyed our stay very much, the young adults in our group walked down to the tourist strip both nights.

The house was immaculate, beautifully decorated. The home is in walking distance to the entertainment area/Niagara Falls encampment. We felt safe coming and going. We could sit on the porch and see the fireworks nightly. I would definitely rent this place again and again.

The location can’t be beat. I only gave it a 4 stars bc although it is nice there are some things that could be changed. The outside of the house looked kind of sketchy and the grass needed to be mowed (high weeds all over the place). The tenants downstairs had plastic lawn chairs in the driveway to block off some of the driveway. The good: walkable easily to entertainment, the falls, little grocery store. Was large enough for 7 of us staying there 3 nights. The cons: the 4th bedroom upstairs is HOT. No one can realistically sleep there during the summer months. Put fans in each room, a $100 investment in each room will keep it cooler. Put a mini split in the 4th bedroom. Remove that there is a washer/dryer. Although they were quick to communicate, they notified me that the washer/dryer are in the basement, and “management lives down there.” I didn’t want to set up a time to wash my clothes, although she offered it but it was an inconvenience for both parties. There is also a 10pm noise curfew. We didn’t arrive til midnight the first night, and didn’t realize that the people downstairs could hear us, as we heard a baby crying, the poor man coughing, and all conversations that happened downstairs. The TV in room 2 doesn’t work. We changed the batteries, unplugged it, we notified the owner immediately. We had a good stay, but little things would make this a 5* stay. I only gave it a 4* because of the 4th bedroom (the couple staying there had to sleep downstairs).

Pros: -distance to downtown, falls, attractions -house was clean -good water pressure, plenty of hot water Cons: -no washer/dryer as listed -didn't know until check in day that property caretakers live in basement apartment below house. Had to listen to their baby crying below us each evening. -very bad odor in upstairs hallway bathroom, smelled like there may be some sewer issues going on. -The master bath toilet didn't refill with water after each flush so we had to take the tank lid off and lift the valve most every time. -being that there was no washer/dryer as listed extra towels for a 4 day stay would have been greatly appreciated. -Google maps does not get you directly to the house. Looks like there may have been some recent road changes possibly but was difficult to find the street. Overall was a good stay, very clean inside and great location. -clean

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this older home. It had nicely updated kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms and was very clean. We especially enjoyed the spacious front porch. The location cannot be beat since we were able to walk to Clifton Hill and the falls and avoid the high parking charges. Parking at the house was easy and safe. We did not have access to a washer and dryer as the listing stated. But everything else was as pictured. One of the bonuses was a lovely little “extra room” off the primary suite in which you could view the firework show over the falls. The fourth bedroom upstairs is probably not usable in the summertime because it is hot up there but it is very cute and would work well for a child in the cooler months. The owner worked with me to solve an issue we had with checkin and I appreciated that. All in all we would stay here again when visiting the falls area!

The property was very nice. However, our communication with the host was less than stellar. We were not provided check-in details and we arrived in the area wanting to get settled in before exploring the area. After calling and texting the host we finally received instructions on how to access the property 90 minutes after the check-in time. The posting lists washer and dryer on the property, however, they were not to be found. So after arriving at the property I text the host who informs me that the washer and dryer is in the basement which is inhabited by the "property management". I let the host know that we would like to do laundry tomorrow evening. Tomorrow comes, and at 7:30pm I text asking to use the washer and dryer. The host doesn't respond until 9:15pm and at that point they tell me the washer isn't available because the "management" just started a load as I hear the washer start up in the basement. As it was late and we were very tired, we ended up not doing laundry that night and found coin laundry somewhere else. Don't expect to actually use the washer and dryer at this property.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved it. The house is a very large and spacious historical home that is fully renovated yet charming. Walking distance to Clifton Hill yet far enough away for a quiet stay. Host and her team were fantastic. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Lavena's place is very comfy and spacious for two families' stay. Location is in 10-15 minutes of walking distance to Cligton Hill attractions, and close to many restaurant options. Kitchen had all necessary utensils for light cooking. Lavena was quick to respond.

The house is well within walking distance of the falls. And at night you can enjoy the fireworks from the front porch or the sun room upstairs. Definitely a plus to stay away from the crowds. The inside is really nice and perfect layout. Would definitely stay there again next time we are in town.

This house has been recently fully renovated and decorated in corporate style. It was spacious, bright and impeccably clean. Bedding, towels, dishes etc. were all new and clean. The listing accurately described the property. (Note that the 4th bedroom is up a steep, low-ceilinged staircase -- it was bright due to multiple skylights, but also very warm in the summer.) The air conditioning worked well. Driveway available for parking. The location is walkable to the Clifton Hill entertainment district and Queen Victoria Park, with a view of night-time illuminations and fireworks. The surrounding neighborhood has a few restaurants and convenience stores with some basic supplies. We had to remind the host to send check-in information, but they responded quickly and the check-in process was smooth (lockbox).
