Baita Bellavista – One of the best!!

We met the host, Bruno, in the parking lot and he kindly guided us to the house. The road up is a bit challenging at first, but after the first trip with him it’s easy to manage. The house itself is absolutely fantastic – one of the best we’ve ever stayed in! It is incredibly spacious, with 3 bedrooms, a comfortable living room, 2 bathrooms, and plenty of space for children to play. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and there’s also a great BBQ area with wood prepared and ready to use. The views are simply breathtaking – especially in the evening, when you can see the entire valley lit up. The location is very peaceful, with only one other house nearby, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. We saw many birds during our stay and truly felt away from it all. Bruno is a wonderful and caring host. He speaks basic English, but we had no problem communicating with him. He even surprised us with thoughtful gifts when we left – such a lovely gesture! The internet connection is good enough for watching movies or staying in touch, and overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend Baita Bellavista and would love to return!

Fantastisch uitzicht!

De ligging. Wat een fantastisch uitzicht!

De rit er naar toe de berg op is ontzettend steil. Met een Peugeot 308 net voldoende vermogen. Binnen is het netjes, maar niet top. Echter voor de prijs niks te klagen!

Fantastisch gelegen berghuis met prachtig uitzicht over de Po-vlakte vlakbij het mooie Iseo-meer.

Dit vakantiehuis is schitterend gelegen op ruim 900m hoogte op een uitloper van de Alpen vlak naast het Iseomeer (niet te zien) met werkelijk fantastisch uitzicht naar het zuiden op de Po-vlakte. Met helder weer kan je bijna 200km ver kijken tot aan de toppen van de Apennijnen. De bergsfeer en de natuur met bos en weiden is heerlijk. De stilte is soms oorverdovend, bij het huis houdt het weggetje op en gaat over in een wandelpad verder naar boven. Het huis is modern gebouwd met gebruik van natuursteen. Ruim van binnen, met 2 badkamers met douche en wc en drie slaapkamers. De foto’s zijn kloppend. Het weggetje omhoog (ruim 20 minuten vanuit het dorpje) is bijzonder steil en alleen voor ervaren chauffeurs die niet bang zijn voor krappe bochtjes. Wij werden heel gastvrij door eigenaar en beheerder ontvangen (beneden in het dorp al, ze reden voor ons uit omhoog) en zij waren de hele vakantie erg service-gericht. Het huis is off-grid, dwz stroom via zonnepanelen, verwarming via een pelletkachel, wifi (prima) via een schotel. Drinkwater wordt door de eigenaar in flessen gebracht, ruim voldoende. Het kraanwater is uitstekend geschikt voor douchen, wassen en koken en wordt met gasfles verwarmd. Er is veel tuinmeubilair (o.a. schommelbank) aanwezig en een grote bbq. Ruime parkeergelegenheid pal naast het huis. Voor ons was het huis een fijne uitvalsbasis om de Italiaanse meren te verkennen en steden als Bergamo, Brescia, Verona en Venetië. Ook Milaan is haalbaar. Je rijdt dan wel flinke afstanden maar het is te doen.

De keuken bevat geen afwasmachine, iets om rekening mee te houden. Als het (mot)regent is er geen afdak om toch buiten te kunnen zitten. Niet ver van dit vakantiehuis is een andere verhuuraccommodatie van een andere eigenaar met dezelfde uitstraling en bouwstijl (mooi!) waar in het weekend geregeld groepjes Italianen verblijven. Daar krijg je dan wel iets van mee, maar het is ook levendig. Dit was althans onze ervaring.
