Nest Apartments on Rose Lane

Location brilliant - very close to Spencer St Station/Skybus + supermarket + restaurants and free tram to get anywhere in the city View was quite good - people watching apartments directly across :p could see out to the markets and the stadium Apartment very clean (shower runner needs a bit of a scrub only) but everything was clean and had everything we needed for cooking and washing/drying clothes etc

Key pick up! Originial confirmation from Booking.Com/Property owner had told us to go to a Londsdale St shop where they store lockboxes for the key - it wasn't there. I tried calling the property manager and then texted them and didn't get a response so I then searched my emails and found in spam an alternate email sent 2 days prior with different directions to go a block or two away to collect with a code from a lock box. We walked there, the code didn't open the lock boxes - Thankfully there was a lady cleaning inside who kindly opened the door to talk to us even though closed. I told her the situation, she said no key had been organised for us and then she called the property owner and told them to organise earlier because she closes up at 6pm and that we would have been stranded. She got our key organised. The lady who gave us the key said this sort of thing has happened before and she was frustrated. We also had the key get stuck in the door and we couldn't get it out - the building concierge could not do anything as its an AIR BNB and told us to contact the property manager - we finally got a response and it was a reasonably easy fix of pushing the little round bit in around the key and then pulling out gently and straight - would have been great to have this little trick emailed to us to avoid that stress. Pool - we didn't get to use the pool as it was under maintenance which was a shame - we were really looking forward to a pool session

Location location location!!! This apartment was by far the easiest location we have stayed in to commute from southern cross station! Plenty of room and beautiful outlook from the windows. Also lovely to be able to get fresh air from the balcony.

Dining chairs all needed some tightening, unsafe for sitting on. Key wasn’t in location that was advised on arrival , but was quickly met by cleaner who let us in to leave bags .

Difficult to contact Nest Apartments staff. The property phone number in Booking app was uncontactable. The mobile number I had of Nest Apt rings but no answer. SMS/Whatsapp them, no respond. I only hear from them 1 day before checking out a standard checkout message generated by the system. Seems the company is understaffed. I have the impression, the office is mannedby 1 person.. Not impressed in as far as communication with them is concerned.
