Las tres Marías, La Fortuna de San Carlos

This house was located in a convenient spot, around a 5 minute drive to the town; the only problem was that the restaurant nearby would play loud music at night. Locating the property was easy, but there were no instructions given on how to open the gate and the lockbox for the key was in the wrong spot. When we arrived at the house, the living room fan and the main bedroom AC were broken. We had to call the property managers the next day to fix it. The owners of the house were located right behind this property, so communication with them was very easy. They were attentive to any problems we had and fixed them immediately, which we really appreciated. They were very friendly and even offered to be our guides for sloth tours and the Hanging Bridges tour. The kitchen in this property is very ill-equipped; the pots and pans are very cheap quality and cooking in them was near impossible. The only way we were able to cook was with the minimal dishes we had brought ourselves. The utensils were also the same story. Nothing was washed properly when we came, so we had to do it all after we arrived. There was no exhaust fan, so we had to keep the doors open, which caused bugs to get into the house. In the future, we hope that the property managers and owners can get better dishes for the kitchen so that guests have a better time, because in its current state, we do not recommend it. Other than that, staying at the house was a pleasant experience and we loved our time in La Fortuna.
