Five Seasons Zanzibar Ocean Apartments

L'accueil a été parfait de la part de Cécilia qui a répondu à mes attentes du début à la fin de mon séjour.Nourritures, propreté,emplacement...Parfait .Hotel sécurisé par plusieurs veilleurs de nuit,bravo et merci à tous le personnel de cet établissement.Les photos correspondent totalement à l'annonce. Réservation pour 4 jours et je suis resté 9 jours.Situation de l'établissement à 5 minutes à pieds de la plage , plongée sous marines,dauphins,paysage magnifique,piscine...Félicitations à Nicholas,le propriétaire, pour la création de cet établissement écologique avec ressources naturelles (éolienne,panneau solaire) décoré avec beaucoup de gout. Cécilia gére cet établissement avec beaucoup d'enthousiame et de professionnalisme Encore merci à vous tous et à l'année prochaine...

thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay, you were very welcoming. The volleyball game and cycling were unforgettable. The location is very pleasant, with a beautiful beach nearby, and everything was delicious and clean. The price and quality are well-matched. I highly recommend it.

I only stayed here to be close to friends staying at The Mora hotel nearby. Apartment was large with a good size terrace. It seemed new and stylishly decorated. Ceiling fans and a/c. Large pool. Free bicycles to borrow. Washing machine. Drinking water. Friendly host. I didn't meet any other guests; it's a good place if you like solitude.

Access "road" is a bumpy dirt track. Without transport, this is a very isolated location. You can't easily find anywhere to buy groceries in walking or cycling distance. There are very few restaurants nearby. Style over comfort/function in terms of the apartment. Bed is very hard and gave me backache. No hot water. At one point I had no running water at all for several hours, and the wifi was intermittent. The only way to contact the host is via WhatsApp, which isn't much use if the wifi is down and you don't have data. Kitchen was essentially bare, with no equipment provided to cook anything, no lighter/matches for the gas stove, and no cleaning products. You can order food from them, but it's expensive (relative to local prices) and you have to order several hours in advance. Outdoor "gym" has only homemade equipment, so is pretty useless for anyone interested in fitness.

The property is close to one of the island’s most stunning beaches, about a 20-minute walk or a 10-minute ride with the complimentary bicycle. The staff was kind and proactive, always addressing any infrastructure issues promptly. They were also very generous and flexible with my checkout time. The location is very peaceful, offering great views and a lovely pool. The Wi-Fi works well, except during blackouts.

Payment: I was initially surprised to learn that credit card payments weren't accepted, as this wasn't clear during my reservation. However, after some discussion, the staff provided an alternative link for credit card payment. Infrastructure: After a rainstorm, water leaked into my room, which I had to clean up myself. The staff kindly addressed the issue the next day. Frequent power outages were a significant problem, occurring over ten times a day, with some lasting up to four hours. Bring power banks. Room cleaning is not provided daily and must be requested. Location: The hotel is quite isolated. While it's near one of the island's most beautiful beaches, you'll need a car to access amenities like supermarkets and others.
