御師の家　梅谷（UMEYA）

Jeder Japanreisende sollte mal in einem Ryokan übernachtet haben, oder besser noch: in einem traditionellen japanischen Haus wie diesem, für ein noch authentischeres Erlebnis. Ich war zunächst skeptisch, ob ich die Unterkunft finden und mich darin zurechtfinden würde, da ich kein Japanisch kann, doch es war alles kein Problem. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit, spricht sehr gut Englisch und ist ein Liebhaber von Schildern, die überall im Haus hängen, so dass man mit Englisch alleine klarkommt und keine Translator App bemühen muss. Ich war alleine auf Reise und hatte das ganze Haus für mich (letzte freie Unterkunft die ich finden konnte). Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich unbedingt weiterempfehlen kann.

The property was absolutely amazing—I couldn’t fault it in any way. The view of Mt. Fuji is breathtaking, and the house itself is a wonder, rich in history and Japanese culture. The gentleman who looks after the house is equally wonderful. He was incredibly kind and welcoming, and he provided detailed maps and information about the local area, which made exploring so much easier.
