The Burrows Family Retreat, West Sands Holiday

We spent a week here at the end of July, and it is a truly wonderful place. The mobile home was clean and well-maintained. Although the site is large and there were plenty of people around, the evenings were very peaceful. The events organized by the resort itself—such as bingo and other games—were a bit underwhelming. The musical performances were mostly karaoke, so buying the £150 entertainment pass for three people felt like a waste of money. Of course, the pass also grants access to the pool, though it was absolutely packed the one time we visited. It’s certainly a great choice for families with younger children, but my 12-year-old son wasn't particularly impressed. However, the mobile home itself, the location, and the people made the trip worthwhile. Would we come back? Yes, absolutely!

Way too soft beds! The previous tenant had put the dishes away dirty, so we had to wash everything when we arrived; some of them still had dregs of drinks at the bottom.
