A cosy Lodge with a lake view! Perfect

The location is nice and quiet, the owner came and said hello just after arrival. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was lovely and clean and the hut cosy and warm and quiet even with the wind and the rain. Lovely hot shower and comfortable living space. A lovely little site, that we would love to revisit with friends.

Perfect Stay

Perfect for a quiet getaway. Dog friendly lodge opposite a small lake, all the amenities we needed. We were made very welcome and had a super time. The local town of Melford is a short walk away with lots of pubs and independent shops. Perfect!

A slice of heaven in the beautiful Suffolk countryside

We’ve just returned from the most incredible stay at Lakeview Lodges, and I honestly can’t recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed so warmly by Mark and Stacy, the most thoughtful and accommodating hosts you could wish for. Their attention to detail, kindness, and genuine passion for making every guest feel special truly made our stay unforgettable. Traveling with four children can sometimes be a challenge, but not here – our kids were in absolute heaven! The facilities were spot on: safe, clean, and packed with things to keep them entertained for hours. But the real highlight for all of us was the stunning lake. The kids spent every spare moment by the water – exploring, fishing, paddle boarding, and enjoying the peaceful beauty of the surroundings. It felt like we’d found a hidden slice of paradise. The lodge itself was spotless, comfortable, and perfectly equipped for a family of six. Every little touch had been thought through, from cozy bedding to the layout that gave everyone their own space without feeling crowded. We honestly didn’t want to leave – and we’re already planning our return. A huge thank you again to Mark and Stacy for creating such a magical place, my little one hasn’t stopped talking about his new best friend ‘Mark’ SO sweet!

Hidden gem, quite literally!

We had such a wonderful stay at Lake View Lodges! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Mark, the incredibly kind and talented owner who built the lodge himself — and it shows in every beautiful, handcrafted detail. The craftsmanship and care put into the lodge made it feel both luxurious and cosy, a true home away from home. The surroundings were nothing short of breathtaking. The lake and the stunning scenery created the perfect peaceful escape, ideal for morning coffees on the balcony and sunset strolls. We also absolutely loved meeting the adorable goats and friendly dogs on the property — such a unique and wholesome touch that added to the charm of the entire experience. If you're looking for a tranquil retreat in nature with all the comforts of a thoughtfully built lodge and the hospitality of a genuinely lovely host, this is the place. Thank you, Mark, for making our stay so special — we’ll be back!

Great location, excellent hosts and perfect for a short stay.

The location was superb. Great place to get away from the stresses of everyday life. Owners were very sociable and provided four cycles free of charge to investigate the local area.

That we didn’t get to stay longer at the property because we were at a wedding.

Couldn’t fault it one bit, if anything maybe should have booked an extra day

Property is brand new but with lots of character and charm , great shower, perfect views out on to lake . Great hosts . Location was perfect . Quite a lot close by for food. Will be returning with the the family soon for a long weekend . Thank you
