About this house rental

Peace and wild beauty await! Welcome to Ripples Pond Retreat, a one-of-a-kind home nestled in an incredible wildlife sanctuary. Located on Acadia’s “Quiet Side,” Ripples Pond is a marshy pond conveniently close to all of Acadia's main attractions, and just a 5-minute walk to Long Pond. Yet with no public access, this sanctuary is sheltered from tourist activity and road noise. Enjoy nature's abundance right in your backyard through birdwatching and so much more on this magical property!
The house was built in 1960 and is truly a work of art. It has a beautiful open layout that directly overlooks Ripples Pond.

The 3.5 acre property is secluded away from the main road and offers many outdoor spaces: a sitting area with grill, huge open sunny lawn, picnic tables, hammock and cedar swing.

The abundance of wildlife to be witnessed here is extraordinary! Many birds, frogs, turtles, and other creatures make their home in the marsh. Sunrises are also spectacular!

A brand new cedar sauna can fit up to 8 people and is available to use for an added fee.

Kayaks, canoes, and paddle boards can be rented at the north end of Long Pond, a minute's drive away. A few bicycles are available to borrow at the house.

My family had a really nice time here- house is well maintained, had everything we needed in the kitchen, the house is a short drive to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor , perfect location and beautiful area. There’s also plenty of space for everyone. Sarah, the host is very nice and very responsive.

We had a great time staying at Sarah's property. She was very communicative throughout our stay. The property was very private and had good amenities, though it's worth noting that there's only one shower. The kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor grill and firepit were great features. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Acadia or Bar Harbor, as it's only 15 mins away from both.

This unique and comfortable house was the perfect home base for a week exploring Acadia. It had everything we needed, from a well stocked kitchen to a beautiful outdoor space, we couldn't have asked for more!
