The location of this property was perfect for us to explore the Island towns just off of Bar Harbor. Just 8 minutes from the Ferry Pier. It's very quiet here, but only 15 minuets to Down Town Bar Harbor.

The property was well off the beaten path but we got to see deer each night driving back to it. It was clean and well maintained.
The bed was not very comfortable. We found it very hard.

The location was both a plus and a minus. Far from pretty much everything, which was both a challenge (getting to/from destinations) and a wonderful experience of QUIET in the Maine woods and STARS! A nearby mom and pop lobster pound, a beach for sunset, and a couple of super nice hiking trails fairly close made up for distance from the main attractions which were too crowded for our liking anyway. The apartment was well appointed with 2 bedrooms, living room, and kitchen, with pretty much anything we needed. Sure slept well in the quiet!
I’d recommend the hosts offer outdoor seating (table, chairs, or picnic table) for enjoying outdoor dining in nice weather. Also to look into some softer, warmer lighting. But that’s pretty minor all things considered.
