About this cottage rental
Relax and enjoy all of the recreation activities this home has to offer! Located right on Halsey Lake, know for excellent fishing (panfish, walleye, northern, etc.), even off the end of the dock! Located right on the ATV/UTV and snowmobile trails and go anywhere right from the driveway! The water is crystal clear and you can swim right from shore without any muck or weeds!
Recently remodeled and updated, this home boasts lots of lake views, a large deck for relaxing and gathering, and canoes/kayaks for your enjoyment (yes, included!). Sit in the living room, or the walkout basement next to the wood fireplace and enjoy the views of the National Forest, which surrounds 70% of the lake. Loons are heard often, and deer travel through the property frequently.
This newly updated open concept cottage features knotty cedar walls, rustic hickory cabinets, granite countertops, tiled shower, full walkout basement with bar, and stone wood fireplace.

There are also two pull out couches available (one in living room, and one in the basement) and a cot available in the basement
Kitchen - fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee pot. Dishes and cookware are also provided.
Outside - Aside from fishing right from the dock, there are two canoes, peddle boat and paddle boards available for use (season appropriate). Life jackets and other water items are available as well. Grill is a gas grill. There is an outdoor firepit on the lakeside, hammock, and multiple indoor and outdoor games. Approximately 10 outdoor chairs are available as well.

We had a wonderful stay there. The cabin was so clean and cozy. They truly thought of every little detail from outdoor water toys and accessories to night lights and cozy blankets. We loved being able to walk down the backyard right to the water. The sunsets and sunrises were gorgeous. They were also super helpful and quick to respond when we had questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Incredible property and location! So many amenities, and very responsive and helpful hosts. It was perfect for our family, with so much to do and see at the property and surrounding areas. The hosts have thought of everything—from air conditioning unit, to fans, to non-motorized water toys, DVDs, so many games and play areas for kids (or kids at heart), blankets, spare bedding, well-appointed kitchen (including a high-quality outdoor grill). Highly recommend for families!!!

After our stay, I can say for certain, it is a very accurate representation online. Hosts were very cordial and timely in responses with any and all inquiries/questions prior to the trip and during the stay. Beautiful setting and lot in a nicely maintained home. Grilled out, had fires, watched the barred owls hunting the flying squirrels at night (really awesome!), and overall just a much needed getaway. Only downside was we couldn't play shuffleboard as the "sand" was out. We both love shuffleboard, but we didn't bother the hosts with that as we didn't get to try Shuffleboard until our last night anyway. Overall, would definitely stay there again!

Excellent cabin - got everything you need. We loved the direct access to the lake and the optional boat rental and available kayaks.
Communication was easy with the owners before and during the stay.
Thanks a lot for allowing us to stay in your cabin and letting us enjoy a piece of the Northwoods!!!
