Ocean view Apartment castle comfort

The view was fantastic! I spent a lot of time in the verandah watching the ships and the sunsets! Bentley and Luke took care of us and were always available. The place was large! Larger than expected for our family of four. And very clean and well equipped with everything you would expect at your own home. Including a washing machine. Lol, the air conditioning was a little quirky with the pay as you go token system. I recommend trying it out. We received about 10 complementry tokens which we honestly never used. Between all the fans and the mosquito screened windows which we opened, we frankly did not need it. They provided us with several electrical standing fans which you could position to your heart's content plus there was an overhead fan in the living room, kitchen and one of the bedrooms. We pretty much had all the windows and the patio door open all the time while we were at home. We closed the doors at night of course but kept every window with a mosquito screen open, which was almost all of them. The place was always breezy and cool. The property was fenced and gaited. It was a relief that our rental car was not parkiing on the street. The neighborhood was extremely quiet. There was no sound at night and generally no traffic since we were located on a dead end street.

There really wasn't much to complain about. There were about 24 hours with intermittent electrical blackouts. Luke explained that the Government had just switched over to geothermal power and there were teething issues. Bentley apologized for the automatic solar power not kicking in automatically and was fixing it. That shouldn't be an issue for the next guests. Luke provided us with a light strip. Water still ran in the faucets and the gas stove worked, so we just camped indoors that night with all our windows open. It was fun and the power returned the next day.

A lovely couple, Stephanie and Luke, met us at the apartment, handed us the keys, showed us around, and explained that we could contact them with any queries. After that, we were left to enjoy our stay. The property was spotless, and the atmosphere was relaxed from the moment we arrived. It wasn’t until the next morning that we woke up to the most beautiful sea view. The balcony was a real highlight — the perfect spot for morning coffees or evening drinks while watching the boats drift by. You can even see the cruise ships coming in, which made it feel extra special. We were happy with the facilities and it was nice to have an en suite next to our bedroom. The location was perfect too. A short walk down to the main road takes you to the bus stop, and from there it’s less than a five‑minute ride into town. Everything was so convenient, making the whole stay feel effortless and enjoyable. The property was in a quiet area and we felt safe. We had a comfortable stay

My only moan is that there was no complimentary water in the fridge

It was clean, everything worked and very spacious. The view from the balcony of the sea is good. The host was excellent and helped us on several occasions, including providing breakfast and an evening meal

It should be noted that the property’s at the top of a very steep hill. Without a car, many would find this difficult to climb. The use of the word ‘stunning’ to describe this property is inappropriate and misleading, it was overall good.

We received a lovely warm welcome from Bentley and Meena, who are the perfect hosts. They were very approachable and accommodating throughout our stay. We had a fantastic chillaxed time here. The apartment is very clean, comfortable and fully furnished with all the essential appliances as described on the website. It’s like home from home, but with the additional blessings of beautiful sunshine (natural Vitamin D), natural surroundings and the breath-taking sea view - wow. The view overlooking the Caribbean Sea is truly awesome and serene. You can go out on the balcony to take in the natural surroundings, watching the humming birds in action and admire the coconut and mango trees in their glory. It sure is a beautiful environment to wake up to and start your day. You can even see the cruise ships in the distance docked at the port in Roseau (the Capital). The apartment is situated close to Roseau, which is local and convenient for shopping, eating out and enjoying the nightlife. It is also much easier to travel to some of Dominica’s tourist attractions like Titou Gorge, Trafalgar Falls, Sulphur Springs, Scotts Head, Mero Beach etc etc. A hired car is definitely recommended to get around the Island. We highly recommend this apartment 100%, as the place to stay for a comfortable, relaxing, stress-free holiday in Dominica. Thanks again Bentley and Meena – We will be back x
