Schönes geräumiges Haus mit gut funtionierendem Equipment.
Die Stufen zu den Schlafzimmern sind gewöhnungsbedürftig: Besonders nachts wenn man zur Toilette muss, sind sie nicht ungefährlich. Kein SAT-TV, nur norwegische Sender.

Smedvikhuset liegt sehr schön am Sundklakkstraumen gegenüber von Gimsoya. Man hat vom Wohnzimmer und von der Terrasse einen schönen Blick dorthin. Die Gegend und Straße sind sehr ruhig. Das Haus war für uns (2 Personen) sehr groß und auch sehr praktisch und vollständig ausgestattet. Mit Schlüsselbox war der Checkin/out simpel. Einige wunderschöne Wanderziele und Sehenswürdigkeiten sind vom Smedvikhuset gut erreichbar.
Der Herd schaltet sich aufgrund der Tatsache, dass der Dampfabzug anscheinend zu wenig schafft, immer mit Piepsen ab. Man kann ihn dann wieder einschalten, aber das ist ein wenig nervig. Aber sonst hat alles gepasst ! Bestens !

This delightful property was cheaper and twice the size of the modernised fisherman's hut where we'd stayed the week before in popular but crowded Moskenesaya. A picture window looked out onto sea and hills. The hiking was strenuous, spectacular and mostly unfrequented. We saw no-one on walks up Haveren, Storknubben and Haven, one other party on Svarttinden, and about a hundred on Hoven. The grass coastal track north from Steira makes a pleasant stroll on a rest day.
We couldn't get the main heating working downstairs, and there were no instructions for it, but it didn't matter because we could use the two fan heaters supplied.
