Apartamentos Pío XII, Madrid

Instalaciones

Nice spacious clean accomodation. Comfortable.

The host did nothing to make you feel welcome especially with language barrier. No special touches like tea/coffee or water to start you off and make you feel welcome! There was no local information as to amenities nearby in the apartment or otherwise.. Beware if you have mobility issue. There is no lift. I have knee issues and had to carry my bag up 3 flights of stairs:( and down again. This should be made clear that there are stairs and no lift! , My lack of spanish language was an issue. It was further from Madrid Charmartin station then i understood from booking.com. With bags its about 1.5-1.7k walk. Taxi costs euro 17. I asked if I can leave my bag about 2 hours or less before check in.and I was told i could but i would have to pay extra 15 euros for leaving my bag less than 2 hours before check in.:(. Unusual in my experience as i have travelled from north to south and this was first time..... There were no bedside reading lamps and only reading light and switch for one bed. I appreciate its Madrid. Whilst the apartment was spacious and clean these things matter. Communication with property for me was not easy. Was pleased I was not there for longer then one night
