Great location, right next tot the canal path. Very quiet street too.

The only issue we had was a blocked toilet on the morning we left.

We spent six nights in this calm, peaceful cottage and enjoyed our stay. The location suited us perfectly. A 20-minute walk along the canal-side path takes you to the town centre. Admittedly, we were fortunate with the weather! On-street parking outside, or very near the cottage, was consistently available. Contact with the owner was seldom needed, as all necessary information is provided in advance and is comprehensive and accurate. The cottage was quiet and well equipped.

There are a few minor areas where improvements could be made: 1) The stairs to the bedrooms are quite steep, with nothing to hold on to. A banister would have made them feel safer. 2) The shower floor is smooth and shiny, and I did not see a shower mat. Perhaps I missed it, but without one, you need to be very careful not to slip. 3) There is no obvious place to hang large damp towels after showering. 4) The instructions make operating the heating sound very simple – "just click on the up and down buttons to adjust the temperature." We found that the heating sometimes worked and sometimes did not, and that there appeared to be a master timer in operation, meaning the heating would only run at certain times of day regardless of the temperature setting. Point (3) was not a major issue for us, as the ambient temperatures were mild. I am sure the owner would have assisted had we asked, but we were too busy doing very little at all!

Amazing property. Everything was spotless and clean. Beds were super comfy and the area was really quiet. Location is excellent, a nice 20 minute walk into town.

As a group of 4, we would've benefited from an extra stool for the breakfast bar, also there was no spare loo roll when we ran out. Nothing major and we'd definitely return.

Spotless,well equipped in an ideal location to explore the Yorkshire dales.
