About this cottage rental
Nestled at the end of a long driveway just an hour from NYC and an hour and a half from Philly, experience peace and quiet in a pastoral setting while staying in this newly appointed sun filled cottage.
You’ll get country views from every window while being minutes to Frenchtown, where you can peruse the great shops, and restaurants or visit Art Yard, bike down the towpath, and hike in Horseshoe Bend Park.
Our guest cottage can comfortably accommodate 2 to 4 adults between the bedroom and a pull out sofa in living room. A full bathroom, laundry room, with washer and dryer, separate dining area, and a fully appointed kitchen, stocked with essential ingredients. There is an upstairs covered porch, where you can enjoy the view with your coffee or a cocktail.
There is a dedicated parking area with easy access to cottage to unload, and an outdoor sitting and dining area, surrounded by a shade garden.
Besides Frenchtown explore the river towns up and down the Delaware river: Stockton, NJ / Lambertville, NJ (great for antiquing), In New Hope, PA. take in a show at Bucks County Playhouse.
Bike up and down the historic towpath of the Delaware canal.
Enjoy polo in Tinicum Park on Saturdays, starting at 2pm in summers. Bring a picnic. It’s just 1 mile north of here.
Go canoeing or tubing on the Delaware River in summer with the tubing outfit in Point Pleasant.
Play “disc golf” in Tinicum Park. or Explore Ringing Rocks.

Planning to attend an event at a nearby winery, my husband and I decided to book a VRBO in the area - sort of a mini-vacation. So glad we chose Idyllic Cottage! It's clean, comfortable, and so welcoming. We go to the area occasionally to bike ride, usually making it a day trip. But now we're likely to stay a few days having found this lovely cottage.

the house has everything you need and more! from qtips and a first aid kit to a nespresso machine and milk frother (!!), the amenities in the house go above and beyond! we brought our own salt and pepper and spices bc we are used to staying in rentals that don’t have basic cooking and baking supplies, but that stuff was all supplied in this home! the house was cozy and so clean. really enjoyed staying here. We left the morning after a snow storm and came outside to find that the host had cleaned the snow off our car, - how thoughtful and kind and unexpected!!the home has a beautiful view of the trees and feels secluded but is less than 10 mins from all our favorite shops in frenchtown! we already booked our next stay for this summer!

As soon as I pulled up to this spot, I couldn’t believe how beautiful and peaceful the grounds were. I loved learning about the history of the cottage, the modern decor, and the beautiful artwork displayed in the home. It was very clean and well-kept! I will definitely be booking again when my spouse and I come back into the area for our wedding anniversary. Thank you for the wonderful stay and hospitality, my girls and I had a great trip.
