Pet-Friendly Michigan Getaway w/ Porch & Kayaks!

It was a solid base for exploring the area. When we arrived, it hadn't been cleaned from prior guests due to an emergency; however, the contact number we were given worked great. Within 15 minutes, someone was there to clean and change linens/towels. She was super efficient, helpful and friendly. Great WIFI and lots of charging stations for electronics. Kitchen was great and well-equipped.

A bit shabby. I realize it is a very old house, but it really needs some professional interior work--not just another thick coat of paint. I understand that floors aren't going to be flat, but one bed actually slanted enough to almost fall out of. There of lots of lights but it is never truly bright. There is an odd musty odor both upstairs and downstairs.

We were the for an event, so the location was fine. Even though it’s next to a few houses, it’s quiet. Some reviews said it was hard to find, that’s true, it’s an alley not marked by the Zinc road sign.

It smelled like mothballs and mold so I opened all windows before anything else. Having your cleaning person do that before people arrive will help. The bedrooms and bathroom are upstairs. NBD unless you have mobility issues. The outside trash bin was full. And while it states the price per night was final, that’s a lie. There was a cleaning and other charge that totaled an additional $180. I could have gotten something much nicer and on the water for that additional hidden fees. Oh, and no grill or hair dryer and the kayaks/etc are not on the property. Maybe it stated that and I missed it. When booking.
