Lassi Boutique Hotel

My friend and myself (two women) stayed at The Lassi Hotel in the heart of the old city. The hotel was very nice. We both had beautiful air conditioned, comfortable and quiet rooms. All the rooms are unique and individually painted with traditional Indian scenes and patterns and feature stained glass windows. As well as a communal area, where you can make a coffee or a tea, there is also a roof terrace where you can play pool or sit and watch monkeys jumping over the roof tops. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Loka who ensured we had an amazing time. He ordered our take away food, helped us source a dentist, an optician and organised local guides! The hotel was in a quiet location, although livelier areas, where there were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants were within walking distance. We both felt safe walking around the area during the day and at night. I got lost once and a local person walked me home! There are plenty of shops in the area that stock everything from biscuits to shampoo and conditioner. We were volunteering at Animal Aid Unlimited (do visit), which was some distance from the hotel. Loka drove us there and back every day, stopping off at a roadside shop on the way home to buy beer and limca's, which we really appreciated. We ate out every night. We are both vegans and there were plenty of local vegetarian restaurants to choose from. Udaipur is a beautiful place and the Lassi Hotel was the perfect place to stay to explore the city, Lake Pichola and the City Palace. A big thank you to Loka and all the staff at the Lassi for making our stay in Udaipur a truly memorable experience.

We liked everything.

We had the most special time at Lassi Guest house, we extended our stay because of the warmth of Loca and his family, the stunning building and the most beautiful paintings and decor, the comfiest bed and the peaceful location. It truly is now our favourite place in India so far. The rooftop area for breakfast was wonderful, we also sat there for sunset watching the langurs playing in the trees. I also have a huge shout out to Locas sister Millie for my AMAZING henna, so good I went back for more! It was so special sitting with the family, drinking chai and talking, giggling and playing with Daisy 🐶 we would come back to Udaipur just for Lassi Guest House

The rooms were lovely and comfortable. The common room area was a lovely addition with lots of teas and snacks provided, which was nice after long days sight-seeing. The staff were friendly and helped to organise extra activities such as getting henna done and doing a painting class.
