We had a wonderful stay at this charming guesthouse in the Tuscan region. The hosts, Antonela and Gabriele, were exceptionally welcoming and attentive. The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The garden was just as lovely as the entire surrounding area, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We truly appreciated the hosts’ thoughtful recommendations, which helped us discover the best of the region. Their attention to detail made all the difference – they even provided us with umbrellas on a rainy day. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Tuscany!

Podere Mona was the perfect late-afternoon stopover on our northbound road trip by hire car. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts, who—despite the language gap—made every effort to connect, with a mix of broken English, our patchy Italian, and a trusty translation app bridging the rest.
The apartment was clean, characterful, and well-equipped, though the “kitchen-in-a-cupboard” felt like a missed opportunity given the generous room size.
It was one of several stays on our Italian journey, and while we’d happily return for another night, a longer stay would depend on a few thoughtful tweaks.
Our stay was during June 2025.
The weather was stiflingly hot—par for the region—and while stone-walled properties are often praised for their natural cooling, that wasn’t quite our experience here. The apartment would have benefited from air conditioning, allowing guests to decide for themselves what level of comfort they need. Unfortunately, there were no standard fans provided either, which made it difficult to circulate the air and ease the stuffiness.
The only access point—a single door with Venetian-style shutters leading into the bedroom from outside—meant leaving it open overnight wasn’t a comfortable or practical option. These aspects could definitely be improved, especially for guests who aren’t yet acclimatised to the Italian climate.
Although we had reliable 5G mobile coverage (roaming), the advertised site WiFi was only accessible in the hosts’ office, which is neither near the apartment nor usable from outside. So if you’re depending on on-site WiFi for connectivity, it’s worth noting this limitation.
We raised all these points directly with the wonderful hosts during our stay, and we genuinely hope our suggestions will be taken on board over time.

Meraviglioso soggiorno in Toscana con Antonella e Gabriel Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno indimenticabile in Toscana con Antonella e Gabriel. Fin dal nostro arrivo, siamo stati accolti calorosamente dai nostri ospiti, che ci hanno subito fatto sentire a casa. La tenuta è pulitissima e il contesto è assolutamente splendido. Il vigneto che circonda la proprietà è di una bellezza mozzafiato e crea un'atmosfera di serenità e benessere. È il luogo perfetto per ricaricare le batterie e godersi lo stile di vita italiano. Anche la posizione è perfetta. La tenuta è in una posizione ideale per esplorare le meraviglie della Toscana, con facile accesso alle principali città e agli incantevoli borghi circostanti. Per coronare il tutto, abbiamo avuto la possibilità di degustare e acquistare il vino e l'olio d'oliva prodotti in loco. Questi prodotti locali sono semplicemente eccellenti e ci hanno permesso di prolungare la magia della nostra vacanza anche dopo il nostro ritorno a casa. Consigliamo vivamente questo posto a chiunque cerchi un'esperienza autentica e accogliente in Toscana.
