Borgo Cerbaiola

The location is the highlight. An old borgo which sits in the middle of wooded countryside and fields, with cattle still grazing nearby. The view as soon as you get out is absolutely stunning, overlooking the valleys and hills as far as the eye can see, with small medieval villages on the hilltops in the distance. You can enjoy all of this from the communal space outside the building, as well as from the windows, although they are very small. The beds are extremely comfortable and there is no light pollution or noise of any kind to spoil your sleep. The apartment itself is a step back into the past; furnished with good taste to look the part and with enough facilities to make your stay comfortable. The owner, Mascia, is very friendly and helpful. The swimming pool area is a great recreational and relaxing place, surrounded by nature. This location is not much about the apartment, but about the experience.

Shampoo and soap could be provided (although there was intimate wash, which we used in place of soap). The bathroom finishing could be improved. Yet, all of this did not affect our stay because the setting and the history of the building more than compensated for these very minor deficiencies.

Fabulous! Wonderful location, apartment, pool and hosts. Would love to stay again.

Fantastic location with beautiful views, large rooms, swimming pool.

A bit small shower cabin.

We liked the pool and barbecue. We also liked the view from the village to the valley.

We didn't like the road to the village. Also pets are allowed but they have to be on leashes which is compleatly ok for us but unfortunately this did not apply to all and we had quite a few problems because of it. The windows in the apartment are very very small so the apartment is very dark. Also the shower in the bathroom was very small.
